Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) likes to spend your tax dollars.

She voted for the failed stimulus bill, Obamacare, Cash for Clunkers, the housing bailout, and for billions of dollars in wasteful earmarks.

But did you know that Mary Landrieu also spent your tax dollars on charter airplanes to travel to campaign fundraisers?

That's the report from CNN, which has landed the Louisiana Democrat in some pretty hot water. It's illegal to use tax dollars for campaign expenses.


This breach of trust was discovered after USA Today published a story revealing that Landrieu had charged taxpayers $47,000 for charter airplanes and once flew 200 miles from New Orleans to Lake Charles, Louisiana.

It turns out that Landrieu was going to a fundraising lunch for her campaign, which cannot be done at taxpayer expense.

All of this has created some turbulence for Mary Landrieu's campaign. It shows voters why they can't trust her with their hard-earned tax dollars.

ELECT A TRUE CONSERVATIVE

Mary Landrieu is going to be replaced this year.

The big question for Louisiana voters is which one of her Republican opponents should be their next senator -- a conservative combat veteran or a big-spending congressman.

Col. Rob Maness (R-LA) isn't flying around Louisiana in a private jet at taxpayer expense. No, he's driving his truck.

In fact, since announcing his candidacy, Rob has visited all 64 parishes and put over 60,000 miles on his Ford F-150.



He has also signed his own "Contract with Louisiana" outlining his pledges to taxpayers and expressing his desire to be held accountable.

However, the other Republican in this race -- Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA) -- isn't all that different from Mary Landrieu.

Cassidy has voted for wasteful spending and he's flip-flopped on everything from the Wall Street bailout to government-run health care. He even donated $23,000 to Democrats, including Mary Landrieu and Kathleen Blanco.

And now Bill Cassidy refuses to confirm debates with his opponents.

The choice is clear.

Senator Mary Landrieu should be replaced by Col. Rob Maness.
