New Allegations Point to Cochran Campaign in Mississippi Senate Vote Buying Scandal
An audio interview has surfaced in which the interviewee claims that he was to be paid by the Cochran camp to grease voters in the Mississippi GOP Senate runoff election. The audio interview, which coincides with a separate audio recording and batch of evidence produced by the newly launched GotNews.com, a project by Charles C. Johnson, alleges that the Cochran campaign conspired with a Mississippi Reverend to buy the votes of African American voters, who happen to be democrats.

Before I get into the weeds of what is in the audio interview and transcript, which are both below, let me set up the stage a bit. What is alleged to have occurred is illegal and very serious business. Under Mississippi law the alleged crimes could lead to Thad Cochran being removed from the Senate. Everything that follows comes from sources either on the ground in Mississippi, or those working closely with them. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Thank You David and Barbara Green and Anthony Hahn
Christianity is a religion of the public square. Followers of Christ are called to glorify Him in all aspects of their life, including their vocation. In fact, Christians are to view their jobs as a ministry.

David and Barbara Green have done exactly that. They created a business called Hobby Lobby and they poured their hearts, their sweat, and their faith into it. They treat their employees vastly better than many similarly situated businesses. They pay more, close early so their employees can be with their families longer, and close on Sunday. They share their faith in their advertising and their store practices. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

The White House Does Not Understand What Happened in the Hobby Lobby Case
It is not surprising that most leftist commentators are completely missing the boat on the Hobby Lobby decision. After all, one does not become a writer for The Nation or Mother Jones or DailyKos by being smart or knowledgeable. What’s troubling is that the White House seems equally clueless as to what actually happened today – although it’s still up in the air whether this is by incompetence or design. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Russia sends aircraft and trainers to Iraq
The net result of Barack Obama’s “leading from behind” has been a vacuum that our adversaries have rushed to fill. Three nations in particular — China, Russia, and Iran — have used our lack of attention to arrogate power and influence to themselves. China, of course, is in a class by itself. Its size, wealth, and location would indicate to a sane administration that it needs close attention. While China acts in its own self-interests it doesn’t do so recklessly. What is more troubling is the pairing of Russia and Iran as allies in rolling back American influence. When coupled with Obama’s hubris and bonejarring naivete this alliance is potentially disastrous. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

First Post-Hobby Lobby Decision Halts Abortion-Pill Mandate for Nonprofit
In the first post-Hobby Lobby decision issued by an appellate court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals has granted an injunction, halting the HHS Mandate, to a nonprofit religious organization.

The key aspect of this new decision is that the Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby decision was confined to for-profit businesses; this decision is the first application of the Supreme Court’s ruling upholding religious liberty to cases involving nonprofits.  It marks another step towards the abortion-pill mandate’s defeat. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

The Hobby Lobby Decision and the Misleading Language of the Left
Many hours have passed since the Supreme Court made its ruling on the Hobby Lobby case.  And as we all know, the Leftist media and Twitterverse has been apoplectic since then, spewing the same tired invective that it usually does when a ruling like this doesn’t go its way.  Let’s take a look at a few of the key themes that are out there today, shall we?

First, we have the “denying access to birth control” meme, perpetuated by none other than Senator Elizabeth Warren . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Governor Bobby Jindal wins Twitter
Could there have been a better Tweet posted than that?

Of course the Left is depositing their piles of steaming excrement in response to a ruling that didn’t go their way.

But Governor Jindal captured it perfectly. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Totalitarians Oppose Yesterday’s SCOTUS Rulings
Make no mistake, both of yesterday’s SCOTUS rulings were about freedom. And the parade of screeching liberals opposed to both results has made it clear that when it comes to freedom, they are against it. . . . please click here for the rest of the post
