Here you have it, Folks. The libertarians have the solution to everything,
including drug abuse and immigration.
They maintain that if socialism is eliminated, you don't need to have
laws.
On drugs: Let them take any drug they want. Once they're legal, the glamour
will wear off and they won't want drugs any more. Yeah, right. Now they're not
only legal, they're free, and getting more and more glamorous.
On immigration: Once socialism is gone, they won't come because they can't
get the welfare payments. Yeah, right. The immigrants aren't coming for welfare,
they're coming for our jobs. And getting them.
The problem is, socialism will never be eliminated. What will be
eliminated, though, is prosperity, as social programs send up your dollars in
smoke.
