Supreme Court sides with gun control groups on straw purchaser law
image A divided Supreme Court sided with gun control groups and the Obama administration Monday, ruling that the federal ban on "straw" purchases of guns can be enforced even if the ultimate buyer is legally allowed to own a gun.

No messing with First Amendment
image The Senate has taken up a bill that that would amend the Constitution in order to restore the regulation of campaign spending that was largely undone by two Supreme Court decisions. The goal is commendable but the approach is wrong.
