The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward,
not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5 KJV

JULY 4th - The Flag I Love - In God We Trust - Prayer for America !!!

The Flag I Love
The beloved red, white, and blue of the American flag can tell a story that goes beyond patriotism to our country. The colors can also symbolize the story of man's freedom from sin and death due to the atoning blood of the Savior Jesus Christ.

I remember so vividly the flag that hung in my classroom as a child. How I loved to stand, hand over heart, promising my loyalty to the stars and stripes. My heart still thrills to see our beautiful flag fluttering over schoolhouses, raised after Olympic victories, and waving festively during parades. The red, white, and blue remind me of the strength, the courage, and the sacrifice of those who have fought to maintain freedom for the American people.

But there is a greater freedom that has been won for all people; a freedom that I also remember when I gaze at our beloved flag.

The white stripes of the flag shine so brightly, without any stains.
But no person can boast of such purity. The Bible says, “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). This sin leaves a deadly stain on our hearts that separates us from God, a stain that cannot be wiped away by any human effort. Only Jesus Christ, God’s Son who became a man, has ever lived a pure, sinless life. And this perfect Man is the only one who can remove the stain of sin from our hearts and make us pure in the sight of a holy God.

Red stripes remind me of the result of sin.
The Bible says, “without shedding of blood is no remission” of sins (Hebrews 9:22). Moral living, giving money to worthy causes, good works, even baptismal water cannot wash away the stain of our sin. Because of His great love for us, God sent His Son to earth to take our sin on Himself and be punished for it in our place. It is his blood—“the blood of Jesus Christ”—that “cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7) KJV. The book of Isaiah in the Bible puts it this way: “He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement for our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5) KJV. But Jesus’ human body did not stay wounded and bruised. He rose to life again, conquering death.

The stars remind me of heaven.
Like standing under the evening sky, gazing at the star-scattered blue of the US flag reminds me of heaven, a place of ultimate freedom—free from sin, sickness, and death—and a place of eternal life with God. The Bible promises that in heaven we will shine like stars forever (Daniel 12:3) KJV.

But heaven cannot be entered by hoping to make it by chance or by working to earn it. You must admit that no other way can save you from the rightful punishment of your sins, and instead believe in Christ’s sacrifice for you. Place your trust in Christ alone as the one who became your substitute and died for your sins. The Bible tells us that “He that believes on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him”
(John 3:36) KJV

Would you like to experience the greatest freedom of all—freedom from sin’s consequences and the fear of death? Does your heart yearn to live forever with God in heaven? If so, you can tell God your heart’s desire with words like these:

Dear Heavenly Father,  I know that I am a sinner, undeserving of your love. But I believe that your Son,  Jesus, took my punishment by dying on the cross, and that he conquered death by rising to life again three days later. I’m placing all my trust in Jesus for my forgiveness and eternal life. Please help me to live to please You. Amen.

In God We Trust

These words contain the secret to national and personal greatness—trusting in God alone.

Printed boldly on the back of United States currency is the motto “In God We Trust.” We have seen it so often that it may have lost its meaning to us. But found in these words is the secret to national and personal greatness.

Webster’s Dictionary defines the word trust as “a firm belief or confidence in the honesty, integrity, reliability and justice of another person or thing.”

When our founding fathers signed their names to the Declaration of Independence, they believed that God was the only sure foundation upon which to build a nation that would endure. These men knew that this unique experiment in freedom would only stand the test of time by God's grace. George Washington stated it simply, “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.”

Reliance upon God was deeply rooted in our country's important documents and institutions from the beginning. But today confidence in God and His Word is no longer the foundation of society.

In our schools the God of Creation has been replaced by the “god” of evolutionary chance. Truth has been replaced by relativism. Morality has been set aside in favor of “political  correctness.”

In our homes we nightly view things that were unimaginable on television and in movies only a decade ago. Violence, sexual perversion and obscene language spill off the screen.

In government, God’s principles of truth and justice have often given way to personal and political advantage, personal profit, and compromise.

As we have departed from God, life has been devalued. The lives of unborn children are snuffed out in abortion clinics and the number of robberies, rapes and murders increase daily.

It is time that we return to the values of God’s Word in our public and private lives so that He will heal our people and our land. We must begin person by person on our knees, confessing our failure to trust God fully in our lives.

Today you can affirm your trust in God if you will:
1. Realize and acknowledge that you need salvation: The Bible says, “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)
2. Recognize God’s love for you: “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
3. Receive Jesus and His forgiveness, the only basis for having a personal relationship with God. “As many as received Him [Jesus], to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” (John 1:12).
God is calling you to put your trust in Him today! Don’t ignore His call !

Prayer for America

Relevant throughout the year, this moving prayer first prayed in the Kansas State House by pastor Joe Wright.

Is there hope for America? Will we become the nation that we are capable of becoming? Is it possible for our country to turn to God for moral direction and government based on integrity? Or will we slip deeper and deeper into moral and spiritual decay?

Our first responsibility is to set our own hearts on doing God’s will. During the days of Micah the prophet, God’s people kept straying spiritually and nationally.  He asked them, “…what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:6).

When our own hearts are right with God, then we can join together to humbly seek God’s forgiveness and guidance. Only God can turn our nation from its downward spiral and put it on the road to righteousness.

A guiding prayer for such a hope was first spoken several years ago in the Kentucky legislature by Pastor Bob Russell. His prayer became widely known later that year when his friend Joe Wright read his version before the Kansas State House where it caught the attention of the media and the Internet...

Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to ask Your forgiveness and seek Your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says “Woe to those who call evil good,” but that’s exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and inverted our values.

We confess that…
We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it moral pluralism.
We have worshiped other gods and called it multiculturalism.
We have endorsed perversions and called it alternative lifestyle.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have neglected the needy and called it self-preservation.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building esteem.
We have abused power and called it political savvy.
We have coveted our neighbors' possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, O God, and know our hearts today. Try us and see if there be some wicked way in us….Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent here by the people…and who have been ordained by You, to govern….. Grant them your wisdom to rule and may their decisions direct us to the center of Your will.
I ask it in the name of your Son, the Living Savior, Jesus Christ.

How is your standing before God?
Do you know the God to whom this prayer is directed? Do you know “the Living Savior, Jesus Christ?” Do you have the gift of God’s presence in your life?

God has provided the way to right living now and eternal life in heaven through His only Son, Jesus Christ.  Jesus said when He was on earth, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).  Do you agree with Jesus, that He is the only way for anyone to know God? Do you agree that when the Bible says “all have sinned” (Romans 3:23), that includes you?

Without Jesus “on your side,” you stand condemned before God: “Whoever believes in Him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe is condemned already”
(John 3:18) KJV

The good news is that the whole purpose of Christ coming to earth was to take the place of sinners and accept the punishment
we deserved for our sins. “There is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
who gave himself as a ransom for all”
(1 Timothy 2:5-6) KJV

When you trust completely in Christ as your Savior from sin and its consequences, God promises to forgive you and
reserve you a place in heaven with Him forever.  “For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever
believes in him should not perish but have eternal life”
(John 3:16) KJV

The Holy Ghost, The Revelator of Truth
Archived for Saturday, June 28th, 2014

Jesus Christ is the Revelation of the entire Holy Scripture. From Genesis one to Revelation twenty-two, Jesus Christ is the
heartthrob and centrality of every inspiration and great revelation. Jesus Christ is indeed the Word of God. Nowhere in
Scripture is this said better than St. John said it, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that
was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended
it not.” (John 1:1-5) That same Word was then made flesh and came to dwell among us that we might see the Father visibly.

While God the Son is the Revelation, God the Holy Ghost is the Revelator. [...]

Be careful how you hear. May God bless you mightily.
May you stand blameless before the Son of Man.
Yahushua Jesus Christ the King of Kings

John Seitzinger aka John the Baptist

I believe the whole reason why the Lord aspired us to know self is
because this revelation can explain, for those whom embrace it, why
we are here as fallen angels trapped in the armor of flesh on a prison
planet overrun by devils and demons. Unless one awakens to who
you are and why you/we are here, one would not understand why the
Lord had to come into flesh to redeem us from body, strange vessel
of soul, as we live out one lifetime in the immortal journey of spirit.

When it comes to truth, do not trust any mortal opinion - the
preachers, the bully pulpits, the doublespeak politicians, or the talking
bobble heads on TV. We must individually do one’s own research
when determining truth as far as one’s worldview, for how can anyone
judge anything without having first investigated the relevancy
of its message or the profoundness of its content? Doubt everything
brought before you, believe nothing, do one’s own homework, and
know truth.
