Anti-EU parties gain ground. Someone pointed out that the overal makeup of
the EU didn't change much because Ialian and Greek socialists, who are
europhiles, also gained ground.
But that is not the point. These results highlight the fact that 3 rich
(core) countries want out of the EU. Once they leave, it will be very
difficult to finance the EU's wasteful projects, extravagant salaries
and perks, and bailouts. The socialists represent failing countries
with failing policies that depend on the richer core countries for their
survival. They are incapable of pulling their weight. Add another failing
country--Ukraine--to the mix and you get a veritable disaster for the EU. Worse,
the Greens are gaining ground, and once their anti-energy policies become law,
Germany's export boom will start coming to an end, and without German financing,
there is no EU.
