WE MUST FIGHT TERRORISM - NO TO U.N. TERRORISTS!
Now the House must act!
In an unusual show of bipartisanship, last night, the Senate unanimously supported a bill introduced by Texas Senator Ted Cruz barring U.S. entry to Iranian terrorist Hamid Aboutalebi, Iran's newly appointed top envoy to the United Nations in New York.
As we reported a few days ago, Aboutalebi is a proud member of the terrorist group that held over 400 Americans hostage in Tehran for over 14 months in 1979. Neither Iran nor Aboutalebi ever apologized for the terrorist act. In fact, Iran wishes to affirm its actions by sending one of the perpetrators to New York City, to serve as Iran's international representative at the U.N. In order for Aboutalebi to take up the position at the U.N., the U.S. State Department would first have to grant him a visa.
Fortunately, this can be stopped! Contact your Congressman now.
If the Obama Administration allows Iran to get away with this sick joke, the United States will be guilty of aiding and abetting the Gangsterism of Iran's Ayatollahs.
The U.S. should not grant a visa to an acknowledged terrorist. We applaud the Senators from both parties who unanimously approved Senator Cruz's bill that would stop this and future terrorists from taking up diplomatic posts at the U.N.
In the House, Rep. Doug Lamborn introduced companion legislation, H.R. 4357, for consideration before the U.S. House of Representatives.
We are calling on the House to pass this measure before the Easter recess. Contact your Congressman now and tell him to support H.R. 4357 and stop terrorists from entering New York City!
To quote Senator Cruz, "It is unconscionable that, in the name of international diplomatic protocol, the United States would be forced to host a foreign national who showed a brutal disregard for the status of our diplomats when they were stationed in his country."
