Pete Ricketts for Nebraska Governor
Pete Ricketts is running for Governor of Nebraska. I’m very happy to endorse his candidacy. Nebraska has a lot of farmers and one of the things Pete has championed is a proposal to reduce property taxes on family farms.
Pete is a fiscal conservative and also a solid social conservative. He’s long been involved in Nebraska politics and in conservative politics. He is the former CFO of TD Ameritrade, a company his father founded. He has also been involved with the American Enterprise Institute, the Platte Institute for Economic Research, and has used his ties and knowledge to help other entrepreneurs get off the ground. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →

Unserious faith

Government Inaction: Inks and Fonts Edition
Printer ink is expensive. More expensive, in fact, than Chanel No. 5 perfume, and while I’m not an expert on perfume, I understand that’s quite a price for some nice-smelling liquid. You know who uses a lot of printer ink? Our government. So it stands to reason that, if we can find ways to reduce the amount they spend on printer ink, we should look into it, right? Even as Bitcoin crime and deception continue, the government has decided that yup, Bitcoin investors have to pay taxes just like everyone else. The anarchists have deemed taxation to be “unacceptable”. I’m sure the IRS will take that as an answer, right guys? Pass the popcorn.
Even if the Obama administration’s data use is way up, the answer is not to abolish NSA, or start shutting down programs entirely. Marco Rubio is right that it would amount to unilateral disarmament. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
