Dear Conservatives,
Recent
unrest in Ukraine has sparked renewed calls for the Department of
Energy to quickly approve long-delayed exports of U.S. liquefied natural
gas (LNG). Unfortunately, the extremely slow process of federal
approval on LNG export facilities has stalled the construction of this
vital infrastructure – weakening our competitive position globally and
endangering this opportunity to bolster the energy security of the
United States and its allies.
We
have a very strong case to make. In addition to increasing global
energy security given the recent turmoil overseas, increasing LNG
exports will:
- Create thousands of jobs
- Reduce the U.S. trade deficit
- Generate billions of dollars for government coffers
Please tell Congress, no more delays. The U.S. Department of Energy needs to streamline approval of LNG export applications now.
Unfortunately, in Washington, D.C., scientific and economic evidence do not always win the day. But strong, united voices from all around the country can make a difference. Please write today to tell Congress that increasing LNG exports will strengthen our nation’s economy, add jobs, and enhance America’s standing around the world.

Sincerely,
