Dear Conservatives,

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel recently announced details of the Obama Administration’s proposed military budget. It includes severe cuts to many aspects of our armed forces, including a reduction in military pay increases and retirement benefits, and reducing troop levels to a pre-World War II level – all at a time when our world is becoming more dangerous.

Is this how we flex our muscle in front of our enemies?

Is this how we repay our military heroes who are ready to give their lives so we can live free?

We are shocked and angered over what we see as the Obama Administration’s latest efforts to reduce the U.S. to a paper tiger in the eyes of the world.

Whereas President Ronald Reagan left his successors the strongest military in the world and the strongest in our history, the Obama-Hagel plan would leave future presidents a hamstrung and weakened nation, not able to look after ourselves or our interests.

As the largest national security grassroots organization in the country, this is our time to speak with a united roar. We will not allow this to happen under our watch. We will not sit silently by as President Obama and his team weakens and paralyzes America, the greatest nation on earth created by passionate founding fathers, and preserved by brave men and women who sacrificed so much to keep America as a shining beacon to the world.

Today is our turn to do our part to preserve America as the world's super power for our future generations.
