SUPPORT RIGHT TO WORK - DO NOT BE SLIENCED BY OBAMA!

Dear Conservatives,
Barack Obama fears you.

Even more, he fears you joining up with other like-minded citizens to oppose his agenda to remake American labor law and expand union-boss power over workers and the entire economy.

Don't believe me?

Just look at what Vice President Joe Biden said about us when Obama sent him to speak to a crowd of United Autoworkers (UAW) union operatives.

"I never thought I'd be back refighting after all this time in my career the wave of Right to Work efforts," Biden said, citing the National Right to Work Committee's recent success passing Right to Work laws in Michigan and Indiana.

So now they have a plan: To shut you up.

As you know, the Obama Administration hasn't been shy about ramming union-boss power grabs through the federal bureaucracy, especially the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

Now, they're trying that backhanded strategy at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

You see, the Obama IRS has announced a proposal designed to cripple grassroots lobbying organizations like your National Right to Work Committee.
The proposed regulation would target us for IRS harassment for making public communications within 60 days of a general election (or 30 days of a primary election) that simply mention a candidate's name.

In a moment, I'll you how you can help fight back against this unconstitutional assault on your freedom of speech, but first let me explain what's at stake.

As you know, the First Amendment was expressly designed to protect political speech. Never is that speech more critical than in the run-up to an election.

In fact, election season is the time when politicians are most closely listening to the voters – not when they are safely in Washington, D.C.
That's especially true for U.S. Senators who only have to face the voters once every six years.

Poll after poll shows that nearly 80 percent of Americans agree with the Right to Work principle that no worker should be compelled to join or pay dues to a labor organization just to get or keep a job.

That's why we believe the voters have the right to know whether their candidates for office stand with them – or with Big Labor.

In months before Election Day, your Committee conducts a Candidate Survey Program to find out where the candidates for office stand on critical questions related to forced unionism, including whether they:

*** Support the National to Right Work Act, a one-page bill that simply repeals that provisions of federal labor law that empower union bosses to have independent-minded workers fired;

*** Oppose Big Labor's Card Check Forced Unionism Bill, which would eliminate workers right to a secret-ballot election in unionization campaigns and expose them to vicious card check campaigns;

*** Oppose the Police/Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill, legislation designed to force every local first responder under Big Labor's thumb by federal fiat.
Then, with paid advertisements, the internet and mass mail, we inform Americans whether their candidates have returned their surveys, and whether any incumbents have voted for any of Big Labor's pet projects in Congress.

But if the Obama IRS gets its way, simply notifying Americans which candidates are for and which are against the union bosses' radical agenda will expose us to IRS harassment, including threats of audits and even jail time.

That's why it's critical you sign your Stop the Obama IRS Assault petition at once.

I know the harassment and intimidation other groups have already felt at the hands of the Obama IRS are going to be nothing compared to what's in store for us.

You see, going back decades, Big Labor bureaucrats have conspired to regulate your Committee out of existence -- demanding time and again even the names and personal information of Right to Work supporters.

The past Committee president Reed Larson and I have always stayed strong, refusing to cave in to the federal government's radical demands.

So now they're trying to impose a new scheme to put a muzzle on you and me.

And there simply is no bigger prize for Big Labor than bringing your National Right to Committee to its knees, whether they do the job through the IRS, FEC, Department of Labor, or other piece of the biased Obama bureaucracy.

Make no mistake, this scheme is about keeping voters you in the dark about politicians' pro-forced unionism voting records and positions.

With the deadline for the IRS to accept comments set for February 27, I'm counting on your IMMEDIATE action.

So please click here at once to sign your Stop the Obama IRS Assault petition.

Your petition will send a strong message to the Obama IRS that concerned citizens like you are paying attention to their behind-the-scenes schemes and will stand up to protect your First Amendment rights.

Unfortunately, this battle couldn't have come at worse time – exactly as the Obama Administration intended.

As your Committee continues pushing for roll call votes in Congress for the National Right to Work Act, we're also preparing for the 2014 Candidate Survey Program.

Now we're forced to spend critical resources to stop this Obama IRS scheme to cripple us.

So after you've signed your petition, I hope you'll chip in with a contribution of $10 or more today to help fund this emergency program and keep our other plans on track.

But most importantly, please sign your Stop the Obama IRS Assault petition immediately.

I hope you act right away.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix

P.S. The Obama IRS is considering a proposed regulation designed to silence grassroots citizens organizations like your National Right to Work Committee.
