Morning Briefing
For January 7, 2014
1. I’m in for $100. What About You?
I’ll
put my money where my mouth is. I’m in for $100.00 for Nikki Haley’s
campaign. Guys, this is more about us than anyone else. Are we willing
to support the candidates who support us?
The
left will pour money into the campaigns of incumbents and new people
who are pledged to fight for them. But will we? Most people don’t think
we will. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
2. Peter King Raised Money for Terrorists While They Were Murdering American Allies
The
sick and tragic irony is that the GOP put in charge of the Committee on
Homeland Security a man who raised money for a terrorist organization
while that organization was murdering American allies. That’s right.
While the IRA was running terror operations throughout Ireland and
Britain, Peter King was a huge supporter. King was even thrown out of a
Northern Ireland courtroom during a trial because the judge determined
he was an IRA collaborator.
And that guy is now the Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
3. The Coming Amnesty Offensive and the Need to Clean House
House
GOP leaders have made it crystal clear that it is their intention to
pass an amnesty bill based upon every liberal premise of the immigration
issue. The
only question is timing. Conservatives must sound the alarm and
acknowledge that engaging in the upcoming primaries is the only way to
preempt Obamacare 2.0 in the lame duck years of Obama’s tenure.
When
talking with many grassroots activists throughout the country this
primary cycle, it seems that many conservatives are fooled by the false
sense of security that a GOP-controlled House would never pass amnesty. After
all, why would Republicans reward a lawbreaker – a president who has
ostensibly placed a moratorium on border security and immigration
enforcement – with the biggest political victory of his second term? . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
4. Alan
Grayson (D, FL), Barbara Lee (D, CA), & Jan Schakowsky (D, IL)
tried to consult with terrorist-led group on drone strikes.
"Mohammad
Al Ahmady, the Yemen director for Geneva-based NGO Al Karama, was
expected to brief Reps. Alan Grayson (D., Fla.), Barbara Lee (D.,
Calif.), and Jan Schakowsky (D., Ill.) the morning of the Nov. 19,
according to press release from Grayson’s office." . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
5. Puncturing our health care illusions
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has been trying to play along with ObamaCare. Alas,
his son drew the “Go Directly to Medicaid Jail” card, inexplicably
diverted into that mournful welfare program by the supposedly
exceptional Kentucky exchange system. Granted,
“exceptional” status is a pretty low bar to clear when it comes to
ObamaCare exchanges, but Kentucky was supposed to have one of the better
ones… and it just won’t let Senator Paul’s son buy an insurance plan. At one point, he had to march down to the local offices and prove he existed. Beating any meaningful information out of the online system has proven to be quite a chore. And
it looks like a chore not many people are interested in undertaking,
because only about 26,000 people have signed up for plans in the state
so far. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
