Iran
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has openly rebuked the Obama
administration by calling France a “true friend” for its president’s
counsel against a U.S.-backed deal with Iran. Of course, Barack Obama
and John Kerry are actively pushing what Israel calls a “very, very bad
deal” and France calls “a sucker deal.”
While
tensions in the Middle East are escalating, Liberty Counsel is
delivering our powerful “Stand with Israel” petitions to declare that
the American people – regardless of what our misguided leaders are doing
– support Israel at this challenging time.

United
States Secretary of State John Kerry was vetting a deal with Iran that
incensed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and that he publicly
denounced. Thankfully, the French intervened.
France
joined with Netanyahu in calling Kerry’s negotiations with Iran an
“exceedingly bad deal.” They demanded that the safeguards against Iran’s
nuclear efforts be toughened.
Yesterday,
as Prime Minister Netanyahu welcomed French President Francois Hollande
on an official visit, he praised him his “courageous stance” against
Iran and called him a “true friend” of Israel.
Haaretz is reporting that the proposed deal with Iran has put Netanyahu squarely at odds with the Obama White House…
“This
visit is important... in light of the talks that are being held in
Geneva on the Iranian nuclear issue. I hope that we will succeed in
convincing our friends this week, and the days after, to reach a much
better deal.”
This
meeting and Netanyahu’s declaration of France as a “true friend” comes
on the heels of assertions made by both Susan Rice, Barack Obama’s
National Security Advisor and Secretary of State John Kerry, who
declared that the United States does not accept the legitimacy of
continued Israeli settlement activity in the West Bank.

President
Obama’s incoherent policies in the Middle East have cost our nation
enormous credibility and influence in the region. Some observers are
even saying that we have become a laughingstock due to our mishandled
communications with key players ranging from Russia, to Israel, to Iran
itself.
James
Picht, a Washington Times Senior Editor, declared that Obama is “The
worst foreign policy president – ever.” Picht recently elaborated…
“Obama’s
botched efforts in the Middle East serve to remind us that there’s no
situation so bad that dedicated ineptitude can’t make it worse. His
administration team has done just that. American foreign policy goals in
the region are now completely unclear.
Our
foreign policy in the Middle East is incoherent. There is no strategic
vision on display, only one ad hoc reaction after another. Secretary of
State John Kerry wanders aimlessly through it all like a patrician
Forrest Gump.”
One thing is very clear: We Stand with Israel, regardless of the Obama administration’s disjointed policies!
Today,
we are delivering an open letter to the offices of Secretary of State
Kerry, U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power, National Security Advisor Susan
Rice, and to congressional leadership on Capitol Hill. Over 80,000
letters declare that we the people Stand with Israel.
Conservatives who signed, your letters are included in this delivery. Thank you for your principled stands!
Next,
I will personally deliver these statements of support to Israeli
leaders, including Prime Minister Netanyahu, during my special visit to
Israel on December 2 – 11. I am part of a tour and delegation convened
