What SOUND FISCAL POLICY?

Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Kentucky Republican who co-sponsored the bipartisan Senate bill that led to the end of the 16-day government shutdown, says the GOP will do anything to get rid of President Barack Obama’s signature health care law — except shutting down the government.
(Hey Mitch it could have been done by simply submitting a stand-alone bill to not fund Obama-Care).
“Shutting down the government, in my view, is not conservative policy,” McConnell continued. “I don’t think a two-week paid vacation for federal employees is conservative policy. A number of us were saying in July that this strategy could not and would not work, and of course it didn’t.”
In your view Senator, what view is that?
Meanwhile, on Meet the Press, Democratic Sen. Chuck you Schumer suggested that to avoid another government shutdown, lawmakers ought to “implement the McConnell Rule, which says that Congress must disapprove, rather than approve, increases in the debt ceiling. If we were to do that, the chances of going up to the brink again, the chances of this kind of debacle, would decrease.
It would appear that Chuck you Schumer once again is talking out of both sides of his mouth with his famously acidic forked tongue.
On ABC’s “This Week,” Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the House Minority Leader, said Republicans have to follow McConnell’s lead and agree that “a shutdown was a bad thing all around.” (Nancy opinions are like bellybuttons, everybody has one)
The opinions of the denizens of Cesspool D.C. regardless of party or faction change every time they blink their eyes).
Have all of you boobs forgotten that the power of the purse remains solely with the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES?
That being said, who just authorized the giveaway of US aid to the tune of $1.6B to Pakistan in the form of military assistance and supplies?
If the house votes to not fund a project there is not a damned thing the Senate or the President can do about it except bitch and moan and suck eggs.
As for the house, stop attaching it to other bills, which in most cases gives the opposition wiggle room to play their silly assed games, but a stand-alone refusal to fund a given project, is THE END OF THE LINE FOR THAT PROJECT, that is the beauty of the House having the inviolable, and sole power of the purse.
The founders built in that protection as a check and balance mechanism against parties and factions who would, through dishonesty, chicanery, and greed try to milk We the People dry at every opportunity.
The main problem is that charlatans, crooks, and flim flam artists from both sides of the aisle, keep trying to find new avenues to get at our money for their own nefarious nest feathering purposes.
The idea of attaching an addendum to a Bill that has nothing to do with the main Bill, in order to get it passed, has got to stop.
These snakes would make P.T. Barnum and Bernie Madoff proud.
Our national financial condition is in such a rotten almost irretrievable mess, because 546 incompetent crooks who can’t even balance their own checkbook have been given the national checkbook and have learned how to steal, or else they already knew how but had to wait till they got elected in order to get access to the money.
These elected officials (you should excuse the expression), treat OUR MONEY (Government funds) like their own personal PIGGY BANK.
I have an idea boys and girls what if the very first time they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar we have a process known as an IMPEACHMENT, a TRIAL, and a CONVICTION followed by immediate incarceration, and as part of that process, all of their self-voted pension funds get confiscated and placed back into the treasury from whence they were STOLEN (yes I said STOLEN).
WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
