FALSE JOBS REPORT DELAYED! WE MUST BE DEALT WITH HONESTLY!

The jobs report may be delayed, but the urgency for action is not.
We still want a jobs report from YOU.
Dear Conservatives,

We need your help -- we need YOUR jobs report.

The government has reopened, and the national media has shifted to forecasting the economic damage that the shutdown and the debt-limit brinksmanship may have caused.
But not so fast, everybody: What about the jobs report?
The monthly jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) was one of the hundreds of government functions deemed nonessential during the shutdown. Because we were left without a report, we couldn't update the #AAMeter, our running tally of manufacturing jobs created during President Obama’s second term.
"No problem," we said. If Washington couldn’t put out a jobs report, much less set a real jobs agenda, AAM could: So you helped us create our own.

We asked: Did someone you know get a job this month? Did you? Did family, a friend or an acquaintance start, or stop, looking for work? If so, we wanted to know about it. And your responses were great.
Now that the shutdown is over, the government is sending out the jobs report for September that it still owes us. But we think it could use a little augmenting.
In DC, we only seem to talk about jobs on that one day a month when the jobs report comes out. That's why we want to hear your stories; So we can make sure we talk about jobs every day.
AAM supporters: What is your jobs report?
Tell us about your job-hunting experiences, the hurdles you faced, and your successes or failures in your community. We want the jobs outlook in your America. And we’d love a few good pictures too.
Help us tell the real jobs story of the economy that the data can’t. Reply to this email, tweet it to us at @keeptimadeinUSA, or contact us via Facebook.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience. I’m looking forward to learning from you.

President, Alliance for American Manufacturing
