Is War in

Our Immediate Future?

 

 

We hear the Leaders of Iran as they speak against Israel . “We will eradicate Israel and wipe them from existence.”

 

This is foretold and tells of a prophesy we must not ignore!

 

Psalm 83: ³ With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish.  ⁴ "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation,        that the name of Israel be remembered no more." With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you.

Mighty Middle East countries are being asked, by Iran , to form an alliance against God’s chosen who have returned to their homeland, Israel .

 

One need only to read Ezekiel 37 to determine Israel having returned to lands God gave them. In His righteous anger He dispersed them to nations where the suffered unimaginable acts merely for being God’s chosen people. Now they face the threats of Iran and are expected to sit silent as if nothing had been said.

 

What many Biblical scholars are asking is whether a war will occur to precede the war prophesied as set forth in Ezekiel 38 and 39.

 

Let us look at the nations that seek the destruction of Israel .

 

Psalm 83:  ⁶ the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, ⁷ Gebal, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre. ⁸ Even Assyria has joined them   to lend strength to the descendants of Lot.

 

Edom may be seen as Islamic Turkey. Ishmaelites are the descendants of Ishmael who are primarily living in the Southwestern Jordan . Hagrites are located within Jordan ’s confines as are the Ammonites. Gebalites are located in Lebanon as is Tyre ; Amalek represents Saudi Arabia , and Philistia represents what is named as the Gaza Strip. The last ally, the Assyrians may be seen as Syria of today.

What we see is that all of the Middle Eastern nations join in a common effort to eradicate Israel from existence. Iran allies with Turkey , Lebanon , Syria , people of the West Bank and Gaza strip to gain a victory against one small nation, Israel .

What we see by really understanding beliefs and religious practices of the area is a war, brought by enemies of the One true God, against His chosen people. We see basically the nations of Islam doing all they can to defeat Judaism. As a Judeo/Christian nation we, America , cannot sit on the sidelines as our own allies are set against!

What may be happening is a small war that precedes the war as set forth in Ezekiel 38 and 39.

Concurrently we must look to God’s Word as written in the Book of Obadiah to learn why Edom , Turkey , may join Iran to go against Israel .

Obadiah 1:  ¹⁰ Because of the violence gainst your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame; you will be destroyed forever.
   

 If you will recall Jacob represents Israel and violence against Israel will not go unpunished! BUT there is something that must be considered and this is most vital to citizens throughout the world and especially here in the U.S.A. ..

Obadiah 1:  ⁴ Though you soar like the eagle and make your nest among the stars,        from there I will bring you down," declares the LORD.   …¹⁰ Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame; you will be destroyed forever. ¹¹ On the day you stood aloof while strangers carried off his wealth and foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, you were like one of them.

 

Again, to sit aside and deny the responsibilities of an ally to the nation of Israel would be akin to doing violence against them! We must stand with God’s chosen and do all that we may possibly do to ensure their existence in a world that is peaceful! We cannot be seen as a nation akin to Edom …we simply cannot!

We now go to the Book of Ezekiel to learn of what is to come. The lessons of Psalm 83 and the Book of Obadiah lead up to the Words of God as are set forth in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Many Biblical scholars are convinced that these prophesies will be met within 5 years of the current date. With this in mind maybe, and I fervently pray that it is so, you can see why I have been delivering sermons respecting the End Days. 

We saw the nations to ally against Israel in the prophesy of the Book of Psalm in Chapter 83. We now add the nations of Ethiopia and Libya as well what God’s Word names as Gog and Magog. 

Much has been said of Gog and Magog and we learn that these nations may be seen as Russia and a group of countries within what is now called Europe . Russia , (Gog), a nation that says, “We are friends of the U.S.A. ,” is truly interested only in the demise of their “friend.” Magog, European nations controlled by Islam, answer to that religion and deny God’s chosen the right to exist.

As Gog invades the lands of Israel they will learn of God’s great power!

Ezekiel 38: ²¹ I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign LORD. Every man's sword will be against his brother. ²² I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him.  

  

To gain a real understanding of what God is saying in the Book it would be best that you take the time to read and study this entire Chapter 38.

God will see to the ultimate protection of His chosen as He does what He does best! He will cause great dissention amongst what were the nations allied against Israel and cause them to war amongst themselves! 

Just as He defends and conquers Gog, He will defeat Magog in such a manner as to make example to all of His mighty power. 

Ezekiel 39:  ⁶ I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the LORD.

God will erase all doubts as to His being the only God and will not leave any doubts as to His majesty.

Ezekiel 39:  ⁷ " 'I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the LORD am the Holy One in Israel. ⁸ It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign LORD. This is the day I have spoken of   

  

Brothers and sisters we must prepare ourselves for what is to come. We do not have years, months or even days to spare. We all know of Iran ’s secret (a pun indeed) nuclear weapons program and their desire to see Israel laid waste. We also see Russia and China thwarting our every desire to take necessary steps to stop this nonsense. We see evil at every turn and sadly we see evil even here is out homeland.

In reading and studying these Chapters I did not come across and qualifiers, ‘ifs’ that would prevent or even delay the events to take place. God, in His wisdom, knows who His people are and who is willing to accept His will and abide by His dictates. I pray that each of you will read these prophetic Chapters and take every Word to heart.

Father, Creator of Heaven and earth, Power of the World, please allow us to praise You and to worship at Your feet. You are the only God and although there are many pretenders we turn our backs to them and turn to You for our every need. We thank You for everything You provide and as our El Shaddai we are Your children.

Lord, we learn of all that You choose to tell us and marvel at Your power. Although we often think that we are strong we know that Your powers are greater than anything we could imagine. We ask that You assign us tasks You choose to assign and grant us the strength to do Your every bidding.

We pray that You will look over our military men and women and protect them as they seek to defend our nation. Be merciful O Lord and send Your angels to protect them from harm.

Father, we are unsure of our leaders and ask that You enter their hearts and minds and have them realize that it is the nation they are to represent and not their own interests. Strengthen the hearts and minds of the men and women that will replace any that are weak and deny their own oaths as sworn to You O Lord  

These things we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Lord and Savior, who is One with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever,
