A new report at the American Thinker highlights the growing momentum behind Conservative Republican Steve Lonegan's campaign for U.S. Senate in the Special Election which takes place in just 11 days.

The American Thinker report notes that Lonegan picked up the endorsement of Gov. Sarah Palin this week - which comes on top of endorsements and campaign appearances in New Jersey by Gov. Rick Perry and Sen. Rand Paul.

In addition a new TV ad blitz supporting Lonegan will air in the upcoming Sunday Night Football games on New Jersey's NBC affiliate.

All of this comes on top of new polling which shows Lonegan has pulled to within 3% of Democrat Cory Booker.

If Lonegan can win this race it will serve as a political earthquake in Washington.  Democrat Senators in key swing states (inluding Arkansas, Louisiana, North Carolina and Alaska) who are vulnerable in their re-election bids will take note if they see a Democrat running as a liberal losing in New Jersey.

And that will mean these Democrat Senators will all but certainly abandon the Obama-Reid-Pelosi leftist approach towards battles with the GOP over the debt ceiling, continuining resolution and ObamaCare.
