1. Remember when Obama promised to bankrupt coal? That’s today.
Dear
Leader is set to unveil a regulation that forms the centerpiece of his
“anti-climate change” policy announced awhile back to much green
fawning.
This new regulation will reportedly ban all future coal-fired power plant construction.
Yes, you read that right.
Obama is set to ban all future coal-fired power plant construction tomorrow by regulatory fiat.
Now, of
course, the regulation will not actually say “no one may ever again
construct a power plant that burns coal to produce electricity anywhere
in the United States of America.” Instead, it will just say you can’t
build anything in future that emits more than a certain amount of
greenhouse gas and then set a really low number that is commercially
untenable as the relevant highest amount that can be emitted in order
for a plant to be legally constructed. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
2. The Left feasts upon the blood of youth
Generation Opportunity has a new anti-Obama ad that uses a memorably creepy image to get people talking.
There has
been some criticism of the ad for this disturbing imagery, but I think
it’s just the ticket to appeal to the youthful appetite for sarcasm and
viral media. The
campaign against ObamaCare trumpeted by this ad is based at a web site
called OptOut.org, which delcares: “Friends don’t let friends sign up
for a bad deal! You are not required to purchase health insurance through an ObamaCare exchange! There are cheaper, better options for young people.” . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
3. KU Journalism Professor David Guth blames NRA for Navy Yard Shooting
David
Guth, KU Journalism Professor took to Twitter the other day blaming the
National Rifle Association (NRA) for the Navy Yard Shooting.
Here is what he said calling for the next time it be the sons and daughters of the NRA . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
4. Special Orders Don’t Upset Them: Meet Some Fast-Food Workers That Won’t Unionize…Ever.
You’re
probably already aware that union front groups–working at the behest of
(and financially supported) by the SEIU–have been targeting fast-food
workers nationwide for a while now.
Last
month, SEIU-backed groups targeting the fast-food industry staged a
one-day strike nationwide to draw attention to their campaign to double
their wages and to unionize the fast-food workers.
Apparently,
the SEIU feels that the fast-food industry is the new wave of steel,
textile, manufacturing, or trucking industries that unions have helped
wipe out and the SEIU plans to somehow coerce the industry into allowing
the union to collect dues from the paychecks of these low wage workers.

5. Time to Move Beyond Bob Barr in Georgia’s 11th
Bob Barr
is a former Republican congressman from Georgia. After a redistricting
battle in the early 2000′s, Barr lost his seat. He left Congress, became
a critic of the Patriot Act, and by 2006 had become a libertarian.
In 2008, Bob Barr was the Libertarian Presidential nominee. He received 0.4% of the national vote.
Between
his break with the Bush Administration on the Patriot Act and his run
as the Libertarian Presidential nominee, Bob Barr has attracted a
growing following of liberty minded individuals. Now he is running for
Congress again in Georgia’s 11th congressional district. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
6. Fighting the good fight against ObamaCare
This is no time to go wobbly, Republicans. President Obama’s horrifying failure in Syria has left him dazed and adrift. He
shuffled onstage within hours of a deadly shooting rampage in D.C. to
launch tone-deaf slashing partisan attacks on Republicans, leading even a
number of mainstream media cheerleaders to nervously fumble with their
pom-poms and wonder what the hell he was thinking. I notice a few of them are muttering about how the blame-Bush stuff has passed its expiration date, too. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
7. BuzzFeed Sources Think If You Like @Uber You Must Be Getting Paid
I
know I have some pretty stupid critics out there, but this may be the
stupidest thing I’ve ever been accused of. See this email from Rosie
Gray at BuzzFeed. Bless her heart, she’s having track down people and
ask them if they are getting paid to say awesome stuff about Uber.
Anyone who has ever used the service says awesome things about Uber. But read this nonsense . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
