1.  The Speeches

We had some technical difficulty getting the videos of the speakers at the RedState Gathering.  But we've finally been able to extract them all.  From Ted Cruz to Tim Scott to Nikki Haley to Rick Perry and more, we've got them all.  Governors Haley and Perry's speeches will be up in the next few hours.  I wanted to make sure that, like the others, they had time on the site and didn't get buried or overlooked.  They'll be up shortly.

2.  Something Evil This Way Comes With Obama’s New Labor Secretary

Thanks to Mitch McConnell and his fellow Senate Republicans giving in to Harry Reid’s “nuclear” threat last month, America’s employers–large and small–and their consultants and attorneys will be shocked when Obama’s new labor secretary Thomas Perez releases the Department of Labor’s proposed “persuader” regulations in November.

Originally included as part of the 1959 Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act during the crackdown on corrupt unions, the LMRDA currently requires employers to disclose the fees paid to advisors (either attorneys or consultants) who “persuade” employees in the exercise of their Section Seven Rights under the National Labor Relations Act.

Under the threat of criminal penalty for willful failure to file the required reports, the interpretation of this provision has always been applied to those companies who hire consultants who meet directly with employees regarding union activity. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →

3.  RNC formally resolves to make CNN/NBC choose between Hillary Clinton & primary debate access.

Whatever cuts down the number of debates, frankly.

I’d advocate Thunderdome if I thought that it would help. Seriously, though: it needs to be made clear to all of the serious candidates that what Reince Priebus and the RNC is doing resonates with a very large swath of the Republican party. The Media went gunning for the GOP in 2012 with those debates. They did everything that they could – which turned out to be a lot - to savage our candidates.
