The Obama administration has developed a culture of envy, greed, and corruption. If you’re looking for a “smoking gun” to tie President Obama to Benghazi-gate, the IRS abuse of power, the Department of Justice debacle, or any of the dozens of other scandalous situations festering in this administration, start with the President himself.
Today’s message is quite different from what you’re reading in the mainstream media, and is a bit longer than usual. But please read it carefully and decide for yourself if Liberty Counsel is taking strategic, impactful action that you can endorse – Mat.

When it comes to the failed Obama administration, everyone is looking for irrefutable evidence to implicate the President in the many scandals his administration faces.
The solution is simple: The smoking gun is Barack Obama himself.
President Obama, as Chief Executive, sets the tone for how government agencies operate in his administration.
For example, with his own public display of excessive spending, lavish and frequent vacations, and star-studded White House events, why should we be surprised that every government agency, including the IRS, is drunk with power and operating within that same spirit of greed, corruption, and unaccountability?
The IRS spent $50 million of taxpayer money in luxurious places for “conferences.” They were just following their leader’s example.
Before entering the Illinois state political machine, Barrack Obama was a community organizer schooled in Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” style of social agitation.
Alinsky, a dyed-in-the-wool socialist, said a community organizer’s role is to overthrow existing order… to create a revolution… to fan the flames of discontent… to pit people against one another along socio-economic lines… and to demonize your enemies in order to create the desired CHANGE.
Alinsky was an ardent advocate of harassing and agitating those with opposing viewpoints.
Case in point: Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer – the original agitator!
++President Obama leads by Saul Alinsky’s example.
In 2008, Alinsky's son wrote of Barrack Obama in a Boston Globe article…
“Obama learned his lesson well. I am proud to see that my father’s model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008.”
President Obama called his schooling in the Alinsky model the best education he ever received. Now, our President has placed like-minded radicals in key government positions - and lavishly rewarded them for their allegiance.
The list is too long to name them all. Eric Holder, our scandalous Attorney General, is certainly one of Obama’s closest allies and best imitators. Holder has overseen the most corrupt Department of Justice in our nation’s history.
In a recent example of Obama’s reward system, Sarah Hall Ingram was placed in charge of the IRS tax exempt division during the peak of its targeting of conservative organizations during that critical election cycle.
For her allegiance, she was rewarded with excessive bonuses approved by President Obama himself and promoted to oversee the newly created IRS division of ObamaCare enforcement.
Will an executive order or paper trail from President Obama to Sarah Hall Ingram instructing her to target conservative organizations be found? There doesn’t need to be one.
++The President’s mode of operation: Demonize your enemies.
President Obama, faithful to the Saul Alinsky model, takes every opportunity to demonize his political enemies. Through his highly publicized rhetoric, happily reported by his partisans in the liberal media, he paints the image of his Republican opponents as being evil and out of touch.
Republicans are then demonized and caricatured before they have a chance to speak. He even chastised conservative Supreme Court Justices for their ruling on campaign finance reform during a State of the Union Address – condescendingly scolding them like school children!
Obama has repeatedly depicted American business owners as ruthless millionaires and billionaires. This fans animosity between the “haves” and the “have-nots” in a manner that Alinsky taught to be highly effective in political warfare.
In this scheme, taxes are described as “revenues” that are being withheld by evil people who are not paying their “fair share”.
The rise of the Tea Party movement threatened Obama’s agenda in 2010. American liberty, conservative values, limited government, and fiscal restraint were taking center stage and the spotlight was moving away from the President. He therefore took action by once again aggressively demonizing his rivals.
Because of the culture of envy, greed, and corruption the Chief Executive had already established in his administration, he didn’t have to give written orders for the IRS to target the Tea Party, pro-life, pro-religion, and conservative organizations.
His public speeches were all his subordinates needed to determine what action he would approve. The leading administrators were handpicked to advance Barack Obama’s agenda and they knew exactly what they had to do.
People like (or under the authority of) Sarah Hall Ingram intentionally targeted any organization that ran counter to the Obama agenda, while approving the applications of organizations that walked in lockstep with his ideology.
Under the Obama administration, for instance, the IRS has amassed unprecedented power and unleashed the politically driven will to provoke and abuse organizations whose purposes run counter to the boss’s leftist ideology.
The Internal Revenue Service now effectively functions as an arm of the Obama political machine.
++Susan Rice was also promoted for her loyalty.
Just a few days ago, Susan Rice, the former Ambassador to the United Nations, was appointed by President Obama to be our National Security Advisor.
May God help us! This is the woman who days after the attacks on our Benghazi mission took the Obama administration talking points, which were crafted to intentionally deceive the American people, and ran with them.
Obama called her a “trusted advisor.” For her allegiance to the Obama administration, Rice has been promoted. Of course, she is in no way qualified to be the National Security Advisor, but she is a slavishly loyal Obama water carrier and that’s enough to qualify in this administration.
Over the last four and a half years, the rise of radical ideologues inside the entrenched bureaucracy has steadily increased under the President’s cultivation.
Now, administrative action inside the Executive Branch is the chosen instrument for advancing the so-called “liberal progressive” agenda.
++How can President Obama say he had no knowledge of the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups?
With all of the above in mind, it is unfathomable to me that President Obama did not know about the IRS’s abuse of power in targeting conservative groups during an election season, as he unconvincingly contends.
This is especially hard to accept given the fact that the acting IRS Commissioner during the time the targeting took place, Douglas Schulman, visited the White House 157 times – an incredible number of meetings considering it is more than five times the TOTAL of Barack Obama’s top Cabinet members during the same period!
Then again, perhaps no one had to tell the President that the IRS, the DOJ, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) were targeting conservative organizations, people, and businesses.
The President knew what was going on because he knew how his chosen radicals running those agencies would respond according to his agenda.
The fact is, every administration takes on the tone and ideology of its Chief Executive. Why should we be surprised when Obama’s bureaucrats act like him? Frankly, the biggest mystery to me is that anyone would have expected something different.
It’s time that we aggressively confront the tyranny, the culture of corruption, the massive government overreach, the radical pro-death policies, and the condescending arrogance that has permeated the ranks of our nation’s “public servants” under Barack Obama.
We feel that the best place to start – the place where there is a growing tide of bi-partisan outrage – is to confront the overt politicization of the IRS.
++Freedom can’t survive a powerful, politicized IRS.
The actions of the IRS are egregious violations of the social contract between the people of the United States and their elected leaders – and we must take immediate action to expose those who allowed this abuse and bring the responsible parties to justice!
Liberty Counsel is calling for a complete investigation by Congress, including the establishment of a Special Counsel to completely expose the IRS abuses.

It is now perfectly clear that the IRS was used as an extension of the Obama political machine. Preventing conservative non-profit organizations from forming – and educating Americans on the dangerous leftist policies the administration pushes forward – is an outrageous abuse of power.
The IRS’ targeting of conservative groups likely helped Obama win reelection. They intentionally silenced the voices of those affiliated with organizations that would oppose Barack Obama’s presidency.
++This scandal goes to the highest level!
This IRS scandal, if traced back to President Obama as the source of authority, will make him guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors – an impeachable offense. That’s why the administration is doing everything possible to minimize the impact of this explosive scandal.
Right now, I believe our best hope is to demand that Congress take action and investigate the IRS – and all the way UP!

P.S. “The buck stops here” is a phrase coined by President Harry Truman and which Barack Obama has frequently used in speeches himself. It’s not so true about our “Teflon President” when it sometimes seems that nothing sticks to him. But one thing is certain – the pattern of radical behavior passed down to subordinates starts at the TOP. The President, himself, is the smoking gun!
