House Defunds Arms Trade Treaty  The House of Representatives passed next year’s defense appropriations bill – the National Defense Authorization Act FY 2014 – with 315 yays and 108 nays; at the same time they also agreed to defund the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. The amendment, sponsored by U.S. Representative Mike Kelly (R-Pa), passed unanimously and blocks all taxpayer dollars from being used to fund the Global Arms Treaty in the next fiscal year. Marco Rubio’s Iowa problem  Other than college football and superheroes, I’m not an expert on a whole lot of stuff. But one thing I know a thing or two about is the Iowa caucuses. For example, Fox News noted the role I played in Mike Huckabee’s surprise 2008 victory there. The Atlantic noted that I correctly predicted the top 5 finishers in the 2011 Iowa Straw Poll in order.
