CONSERVATIVE ACTION ALERTS 05/24/2013

Moms Against Hunger meeting unmet needs in Moore, OK
With the initial shock from Monday’s colossal tornado wearing off and with all of the clean-up going on, people are hungry and in need of three solid meals. The good news is: this need is being answered! Since Tuesday, more groups have been arriving on the scene to prepare and provide food for the hungry. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all being provided by different groups serving with compassion. While we celebrate that stomachs are being filled, many areas where relief is desperately needed are still left unaddressed.

Federalism (“States’ Rights”) Get Short Shrift in Colorado Judicial Exhibit
I recently visited the new Ralph Carr Colorado Judicial Center—the huge and incredibly expensive building complex that now houses the Colorado Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. But even after spending $258 million, they couldn’t get one sign right.

I became a Republican because of what the party stood for: individual freedom, traditional values, with a view that government’s role is to protect our freedom at home and abroad.

Islamists Tell the Truth When They Think Western Eyes Aren’t Watching
If you want to keep up on what’s going in the Middle East, and what Islamists really think, MEMRI-TV is an excellent resource for accomplishing both. MEMRI, which stands for the “Middle East Media Research Institute,” monitors Arab, Iranian, and Turkish media, schoolbooks, and sermons. MEMRI then translates them into English so we can know exactly what is being said in those cultures—unfettered by our gutless politicians and leftists media so punch-drunk on political correctness they feel the need to cover for those who wish us harm.
