The weasels that wrote the Obama health law postponed the pain until after the 2012 presidential election.
Popular provisions were put into effect immediately, such as allowing children to stay on their parent's plan until age 26, offering "free" colonoscopies and mammograms (in truth, forcing you to pay for them in your premium, whether you get them or not) and giving women the thrill of getting contraceptives at the drugstore without paying anything.
The White House also granted 1,472 waivers to certain companies and unions exempting them from insurance reforms, so they would not drop coverage for employees and members before the presidential contest.
Voters saw through these hijinks. Even on Election Day 2012, a majority favored repealing the health law. But they cared more about other issues or didn't care for Mitt Romney. The 2012 election was not a referendum on ObamaCare.
November 2014 will be different. By then, people in their 20s and 30s will be clobbered with 100% or higher premium hikes, insurers report. Nineteen percent of the president's 2012 voters came from this age group.

Honest Elections Over in CA: Online Voter Registration in Florida Creates 2500 Phony Requests for Absentee Ballots by on 03/19/2013
On September 15, 2012 California started online voter registration—with no cross reference to see if the person is registered to vote in another location or State. On January 1, 2015, same day voter registration (on election day) begins in California—no cross checking if you have registered at another location on the same day. And, no way to check if you used a phony name?
In no instance, online or same day registration is an ID needed or allowed. Think corruption can not happen? Florida found out the hard way, that corruption is PART of the new system. The age of honest elections is over in California. Thank you Guv Brown and Democrats. Yes, elections have consequences—voter fraud.
“The case involved more than 2,500 “phantom requests” for absentee ballots, apparently sent to the Miami-Dade County elections website using a computer program, according to a grand jury report on problems in the Aug. 14 primary election. It is not clear whether the bogus requests were an attempt to influence a specific race, test the system or simply interfere with the voting. Because of the enormous number of requests – and the fact that most were sent from a small number of computer IP addresses in Ireland, England, India and other overseas locations – software used by the county flagged them and elections workers rejected them.
