NEVADA - CLARK COUNTY GOP INFORMATION

Dear Clark County Republicans, With the first month of 2013 in the history books, I wanted to touch base and let you know what the CCRP is busy doing on your behalf. CCRP developing policy positions: With the recent bylaw changes at the last meeting the Clark County Republican Central Committee, we are now working on developing formal policy positions on issues like School Choice, Gun Rights, Property Rights and many others to come in the future. The formation of these policy positions, along with our strong county platform will help guide our representatives when they are debating issues that concern and affect us. On the subject of School Choice, we would like to commend Governor Sandoval on the release of his Opportunity Scholarship Plan which will save Nevada taxpayers real money (NPRI estimated 1 billion in the next 10 years) while providing students with increased opportunity for achievement and empowering parents to choose the best schools for their children. From the responses I've received to the resolution on Gun Control that passed at our last Central Committee meeting, it's encouraging to know that we agree on this issue 100 percent. The CCRP will remain vigilant and in constant contact with our representatives to ensure our Second Amendment rights are defended and protected.
