And when the Foreign Surveillance Intelligence Act (FISA) comes up for renewal during the lame duck session of Congress, I won't be afraid to shut it down again to stop government snoops in their all-out war against the Constitution's Fourth Amendment.

The bad news is, FISA reauthorization has already passed the U.S. House. So the only way to stop five more years of Big Brother is to win this fight in the U.S. Senate.
And that will depend on you.
You see, whether it's porno-scanners or grope-downs at airports, the authorization of domestic spy drones - or sweeping wiretapping legislation like the PATRIOT Act or FISA - the statists' strategy for defeating terrorism is to expand government and treat everyone, even law-abiding citizens, like terrorists.
It's not working.
In fact, one recent internal study showed TSA agents FAIL to catch items passengers are forbidden from taking on planes more than 75% of the time!
And this was at Newark Airport - within view of New York City's 9/11 targets!
As Benjamin Franklin said, "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
He couldn't have been more correct.
Fights like DEFEATING FISA reauthorization strike at the very core of who we are as Americans.
Every true conservative I know supports the Second Amendment and opposes federal gun registration.
Well, anti-Fourth Amendment schemes like FISA along with massive data-mining programs allows federal bureaucrats to effectively register everything we have and do!
How long can we remain free with government bureaucrats watching our every move?
They're already telling us what we can eat, drink, and smoke. They're already telling us what size Coca-Cola we're "allowed" to have.
They already tell us what light bulbs we can own.
How long until they tell us we can't have our guns?
How long until they tell us we can't raise our kids as we see fit? How long until they tell us they're not a big fan of the God we worship?
I don't want to find out.
I want to stop the National Security police state before it destroys every last bit of freedom we have.
But I'm counting on you to stand with me.
This lame duck fight over FISA reauthorization is absolutely critical. I will give it everything I have.
But I'm just one person.
