If you are as frustrated as I am that Planned Parenthood of America (PPH) continues to get massive government financial support, I think you will be encouraged by this important announcement:
Today, Liberty Counsel Action is launching an aggressive new strategy to defund Planned Parenthood once and for all!
Since the mid-term 2010 elections, pro-life members of the Republican-controlled House of Representatives have seen their efforts to defund Planned Parenthood derailed by House leftists and Harry Reid’s Democrat-controlled Senate.
And, of course, President Obama has promised to veto any bill to defund Planned Parenthood, even if such a bill did pass Congress.
Right now, PPH receives more than $363 million in revenue from government grants and contracts, funded by OUR TAX DOLLARS...
...to perform a staggering 332,000+ abortions per year, including horrible “partial-birth” abortions in which a baby is partially delivered and then gruesomely killed.
That means that YOUR tax dollars – and mine –were used to fund an organization that killed at least 332,000 babies in the last twelve months!
I find this thought both chilling and reprehensible, and I’m sure you do, as well.
But acting together, we can change this American tragedy by taking a different path since so many of our federal officials have turned a deaf ear to our call to defund Planned Parenthood!
++Governor Rick Perry has successfully defunded PPH in Texas.
The Texas State Legislature passed a law banning federal money from going to organizations operating in Texas which are tied to abortion providers. Governor Rick Perry signed the law, which was immediately challenged in court by Planned Parenthood. Last week, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the Texas ban pending an October hearing.
Governor Perry called the court’s ruling “a win for Texas women, our rule of law and our state’s priority to protect life.”
Using this innovative strategy, pro-life officials in Texas have ensured that no federal money goes to pay for abortions in their state!

Over the years, Liberty Counsel Action has aggressively conducted many major campaigns to demand that Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, be stripped of taxpayer funding.
Now we are taking the “Defund Planned Parenthood” battle to our nation’s state capitals, governors, and other influential state leaders! Our petition forces governors and others to see that the American people will not stand for the same arrogant dismissal of pro-life public opinion that we have seen at the federal level!
This is a call to action for ALL pro-life Americans to stand in defense of life.

++There is great power in taking action together.
It will take many outraged pro-life citizens to bring enough pressure on our state representatives and governors to defund Planned Parenthood. But it is worth our best effort to save the lives of hundreds of thousands of unborn babies this year alone!
LifeNews and the American Life League recently reported...
*97.6 percent of pregnant women going to Planned Parenthood are sold abortions while less than 2.4 percent of pregnant women received non-abortion services including adoption counseling or prenatal care.
*Planned Parenthood has increased its number of abortions for 15 straight years.
* Planned Parenthood's public records show 5,320,095 surgical and chemical abortions done at Planned Parenthood Centers through the end of 2009 alone.
I find these facts deeply disturbing and unfathomable in scope. But it gets worse – you and I paid for a great deal of this deadly activity!
Liberty Counsel Action is endorsing any legislation to end federal, state, and local funding of Planned Parenthood, Inc., the nation's largest provider of abortion "services."
