Obama Slogan: “Forward—to plunder the great-grandchildren!” (The grandkids’ earnings are already spent.)

New Obama slogan has long ties to Marxism, socialism. By Victor Morton
Excerpt: The Obama campaign apparently didn't look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, "Forward" — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism. Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name "Forward!" or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called "Forward (generic name of socialist publications)." (Definitely fits Obama's Socialist/Marxist philosophy. --GBH.)

Obama’s New Campaign Slogan “Forward!” Is a Hitler Youth Marching Tune (Video)
Excerpt: Barack Obama’s latest campaign slogan “Forward!” also happens to be a Nazi marching tune. Vorwärts! Vorwärts! was a marching song of the Hitler youth. (Fitting for those who believe in State Controlled Economies. Comments on the website are worth reading. ~Bob.)

President Obama made a surprise visit to Afghanistan on Tuesday that marked the anniversary of Osama bin Laden’s killing at the hands of a team of U.S. Navy SEALs. The trip to Afghanistan serves as an apparent victory law (sic--lap?) for Obama, who ordered last year’s successful mission taking out the terrorist who masterminded the September 11, 2001 attacks. (He should have taken the family, made a vacation out of it. He could have showed them where he single-handily fought his way in and assassinated bin Laden. They could Bar-B-Que a mutt, stone a couple of rape victims, throw acid on school girls, relive old times when he was learning about the “Religion of Peace” as a boy in Indonesia. ~Bob.)

May Day Eve Quickly Turns Ugly In San Francisco
Excerpt: A day that is expected to be filled with anti-establishment protests all around the globe began early last night with a roving band of "anarchists" smashing car windows and store fronts in San Francisco's Mission District. The mini-riot (which was technically on April 30, but still) may have started as a "ruckus street party" organized by Occupy Oakland protesters who invaded their sister city last night, but whoever was responsible appeared to show little regard for the property of either the 1% or the other 99.

What’s the difference?
Excerpt: Our Commander in Chief, who insists that everyone must pay a fair share, has yet to define a fair share. But, that is what a community organizer does. He builds a non-existent bad guy, the one who refuses to pay a fair share, and uses him to divide the community or in our case a whole nation.

Double Standard: Black Men Named Trayvon Get Killed all the Time, But The Left Doesn't Care

The Empire of Poverty--Feigned concern for social equality disguising its hunger for total power
Excerpt: Controlling a large number of people isn’t easy. The United States alone consists of 312 million people spread out across nearly 4 million square miles. Add on nearly 500 million for the population of the European Union and another nearly 4 million square miles of territory.

RFK assassination witness tells CNN: There was a second shooter
Excerpt: According to the autopsy report, the coroner concluded that the senator's body and clothing were struck from behind, at right rear, by four bullets fired at upward angles and at point-blank range. Yet witnesses said Sirhan fired somewhat downward, almost horizontally, from several feet in front of Kennedy, and witnesses did not report the senator's back as ever being exposed to Sirhan or his gun. (It’s very difficult to assess the likelihood of this interview’s accuracy. Where has she been hiding all this time? First, it has been 44 years since the events occurred. It would have been much easier to credit this even 25 or 30 years ago. I’m not yet as old as this lady, but I KNOW I have “mis-remembered” things far more recent than from 4 decades ago (and, sometimes argued the truth until presented with my own writing from the time!). Yet, this is probably the single most important day of her life to the nation, even if not to her. But, that also means she views it through the lens of emotion, stress, and everything she’s wished, dreamed, read, heard, or seen in the meanwhile. There may well be unresolved problems with the original investigation as a whole, but there is no possibility of anything that would exonerate Sirhan Sirhan. He’s likely in jail forever, and it appears, deservedly so. Like all conspiracy theories, we may never really know for sure. But, Occam’s Razor says the original verdict was the right one. Ron P.)

GOP money floods battlegrounds, threatens Dems' hold on Senate
Excerpt: Third-party groups allied with the Republican Party have vastly outspent Democratic incumbents and their backers in Senate battlegrounds. The disparity in advertising firepower threatens Democratic control of the Senate and could have an impact on the presidential race as well.

Romney: Bin Laden hit was an easy call
Excerpt: Romney on Monday dismissed the supposed courageousness of Obama’s decision to send a team of Navy SEALs to Pakistan to kill bin Laden, calling it an easy decision that “even Jimmy Carter” would have made. … The counterattack was aided by liberal commentator Arianna Huffington, who criticized as “despicable” an Obama campaign ad that suggested Romney would not have issued the order to kill bin Laden. (Hell, if I’d been president instead of Bill Clinton, bin Laden would have died in the 1990s, perhaps sparing us 9/11. And the credit would have belonged to the guy pulling the trigger, not to me safe in DC making a better call than Clinton. ~Bob.)

Romney: 'Of Course' I Would Have Attacked bin Laden
Excerpt: Seeking to neutralize one of President Obama's recent arguments, Mitt Romney said on Monday that "of course" he would have ordered military forces to make the 2011 raid that ended with the death of Osama bin Laden. Asked by a reporter whether he would have gone after the al-Qaida leader, Romney responded: "Of course." He was then asked if he would have given the specific order to kill bin Laden. “Of course," he said. "Even Jimmy Carter would have given that order.” (Dukakis or Mondale might’ve only made bin Laden stand in the corner for a really long time out. Jerry Brown would’ve explained to him why we all have to get along. And, of course, Clinton actually had the opportunity to kill bin Laden but said “no.” And, truth be told, I’m not so sure about Carter. The last Democrat President I really believe would’ve done it without outside pressure was Johnson, and that was two generations ago. I doubt anyone thinks either of the Bushes or Reagan would have hesitated. Ron P.)

Worth Reading: The Dangers Of Raising Taxes On Investment Income by Diana Furchtgott-Roth
Excerpt: As Tax Day approaches, President Obama is traveling the country promoting his Buffett Rule, a 30 percent tax on millionaires. Yet, to the Joint Tax Committee, this will raise only $47 billion over the next decade, a fraction of America’s $6.7 trillion 10-year deficit. … It has been widely noted that passage of the “Buffett Rule” will not change Mr. Buffett’s tax rate. … Higher tax rates would reduce economic activity and, thus, economic growth, by reducing available financing for private companies, innovators, and small firms just getting started.

The U.S. Sugar Program: Bad for Consumers, Bad for Agriculture, and Bad for America. By Bryan Riley
Excerpt: Government interference in the sugar market hurts consumers and food manufacturers by driving up the price of sugar, threatening competitive farmers and ranchers by jeopardizing export growth, and weakening the U.S. economy by diverting resources from more competitive uses. This Depression-era program, which was supposed to end in 1940, has outlived its intended lifespan by 72 years. It should be abolished. (The closest you can come to eternal life is a temporary government program. ~Bob.)

A Cynical Process By Thomas Sowell
Excerpt: Labor unions, like the United Nations, are all too often judged by what they are envisioned as being -- not by what they actually are or what they actually do. Many people, who do not look beyond the vision or the rhetoric to the reality, still think of labor unions as protectors of working people from their employers. And union bosses still employ that kind of rhetoric. However, someone once said, "When I speak I put on a mask, but when I act I must take it off."

Why climate science is a textbook example of groupthink
Excerpt: There are many possible reasons for this scientific blindness, including sheer financial and career self-interest: scientists who don’t accept the alarmist paradigm will lose research grants and career doors will be closed to them. But one psychological diagnosis fits alarmist climate science like a glove: groupthink. With groupthink, we get the best explanation of “how can many, many respected, competitive, independent science folks be so wrong.” (Sometime between 1950 and 1960, the world’s medical and scientific communities discovered that the “accepted”—and taught—number of human chromosomes was NOT 48 (in 24 pairs) as had been believed, but 46 (in 23 pairs). How did an error this simple occur? Why was it repeated, uncorrected, for 5 decades? No one seems sure. But, if you check a biology text written before 1950, chances are excellent you’ll find the wrong answer. It must have been a very courageous individual who, upon counting the chromosomes for himself and finding only 23 pairs, went to his department head and asked him to confirm the finding. Also, a very courageous department head who confirmed the count and got others to notice. You can also Google up the “science” of Phrenology. Both of these occurred within living memory; if you try hard, you can probably still find some surviving old-timers who taught these things as “truth.” After all, the consensus accepted them. Ron P. what! I demand my extra two chromosomes back! The accepted science of eugenics, supported by Margaret Sanger who founded Planned Parenthood to prevent more of the “unfit” from being born, led to millions of murders due to the :”scientific consensus.” And every scientist was worried about “Global Cooling” and a new Ice Age in the 1970s. It was the accepted consensus. ~Bob.)

Great Song: When You're Holding a Hammer (Everything Looks Like a Nail)
From the e-mail forward with the link to this great song: Tennessee middle school assistant football coach, age 26, fired for a song he wrote and played! This could be the next number one hit country song. It's the best effort yet at encapsulating the outrage at the oversteps of this government in an entertaining song. Apparently, the guy was fired over the song because some parents complained. If you like it, help it go "viral" by passing it along to everyone you know.

DOJ Employee Contempt for Mississippi Citizens on Facebook. By J. Christian Adams
Excerpt: PJ Media has obtained Facebook postings from Department of Justice Voting Section employees demonstrating contempt for the states for which they have oversight authority under the Voting Rights Act, including for voter ID approval. One such posting demonstrates open contempt for Mississippi, a state which recently passed a photo voter identification law. The same Voting Section employees have the power to approve the law.

Great one-minute ad

Mother reads Hispanic hate text to school board panel

Before you listen, note that the mother who is reading here is translating portions of a foul, perverted, anti-white hate text that is required reading for Mexican kids in an Arizona school. Now keep in mind, all translators have a duty to translate exactly what the source text says, NO HOLDS BARRED. Otherwise, the reader doesn’t know what it says. Here she translates aloud, before the school board, some portions of a poem in Spanish INTENDED FOR CONSUMPTION BY SCHOOL KIDS in AZ. The KIDS have to read this foul language. It is part of their assignment. Yet, when she translated these words at the school board meeting, she was reprimanded for reading words the students were REQUIRED to read--because they are offensive even to the adults attending the meeting. Some can be heard murmuring in the background at this passages. Get the irony? As far as I know, this lady almost single-handedly ended this racist course as a result of her actions. A single individual can do much if given a forum. --Don Hank

Tipping Point?
Excerpt: My assumption is for a much, much closer presidential election than the latest Intrade odds (currently giving President Obama a 59.6 percent chance of winning) or the averages of major polls, which generally show Obama with a low single-digit lead over presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney.

SEALs Slam Obama For Making It Political
Excerpt: Serving and former US Navy SEALs have slammed President Barack Obama for taking the credit for killing Osama bin Laden and accused him of using Special Forces operators as ‘ammunition’ for his re-election campaign.

Blogger threatened with jail for writing on health: 'This is America and America people should be free to give each other advice' By Jack Minor
Excerpt: In February 2009, after being hospitalized with diabetes and wanting to avoid the fate of his grandmother who eventually died from the disease, Cooksey decided to embrace the low-carb, high-protein Paleo, or “caveman,” diet. As a result of the diet, he was drug- and insulin-free within 30 days. By May of that year, he had lost 45 pounds and decided to start a blog in which he would write about his success. In January, Cooksey received a call from the director of the nutrition board telling him he was not allowed to offer nutrition advice without a license and that his website was being investigated.

Wanted: A competent commander in chief: Obama's leadership is resulting in a degraded military. By Frank J. Gaffney Jr.
Excerpt: It turns out Team Obama suddenly wants the 2012 presidential campaign to be about foreign policy rather than the economy. Such a pivot might not be surprising given that by President Obama's own test, he has not cut unemployment to the point where he deserves to be re-elected. The Democrats have - if anything - a weaker case for re-electing this president on national security grounds.

On Second Thought, Maybe N.C. Was a Mistake. By Stuart Rothenberg
Excerpt: But if David Axelrod and the president’s other political advisers picked the Tar Heel State to make some broader political point, then they goofed. Simply put: North Carolina looks like a mess for Democrats.

A year after bin Laden raid, Pakistan still harbors US' biggest enemies. By Saeed Shah

Excerpt: A year after Osama bin Laden was found and killed, Pakistan still harbors, willingly or unwillingly, America's greatest enemies: current al-Qaida chief Ayman al-Zawahiri and Afghan insurgent leaders Sirajuddin Haqqani and Mullah Mohammad Omar. Pakistani Islamist leader Hafiz Saeed was added to that list in March, when the United States offered $10 million for his capture.

Obama and the bin Laden Bragging Rights: It's hard to imagine Lincoln or Eisenhower claiming such credit for the heroic actions of others.
Excerpt: The first anniversary of the SEAL Team 6 operation that killed Osama bin Laden brings the news that President Obama plans during the coming campaign to exploit the bragging rights to the achievement. That plan invites scrutiny that is unlikely to benefit him. Consider the events surrounding the operation.

Excerpt: Well. This is what happens when you trust the ethical sense of a progressive politician. It turns out that Elizabeth Warren in fact claimed minority status: specifically, in the “Association of American Law Schools’ annual directory of minority law teachers” (H/T: @CoonDawg68) from 1986 to 1995 (more about this at The Volokh Conspiracy (via Instapundit), which also has some interesting details about ‘racial fraud’ as a legal concept in Massachusetts).

Romney Braces For Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy. By Byron York
Excerpt: "There will be an effort," Mitt Romney said recently, "by the, quote, vast left-wing conspiracy to work together to put out their message and attack me." By those words, many observers thought Romney, speaking to Breitbart News, meant the press. After all, the Republican nominee is likely to face some pretty tough coverage from left-leaning outlets in the months ahead. But Romney meant much more than the press. In fact, "vast left-wing conspiracy" refers to a set of institutions whose work helps shape the coverage that ultimately appears in the press.

'Cheat genital mutilation ban by going abroad': British Muslim leader caught on camera advocating female circumcision
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2136907/Genital-mutilation-British-muslim-leader-caught-camera-advocating-female-circumcision.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
Excerpt: A British Muslim leader has been caught on camera advocating female genital mutilation. Mohammed Abdul, the Imam of a Bristol mosque, was filmed urging a follower to take women and girls abroad so they can be circumcised legally. The practise was banned by law in 2003, and it's illegal to help or encourage anyone to carry out the barbaric procedure overseas. (Leftists say FGM is cultural, nothing to do with Islam. Sure. ~Bob.)

Democrat comic scorches Obama again
Excerpt: “Saturday Night Live” comedic legend Jon Lovitz is doubling down on his harsh criticism of Barack Obama’s alleged wealth confiscation and redistribution policies, claiming the president is lying to Americans. “The President is lying to get votes … it’s obvious and transparent,” Lovitz…

Obama's Crucifixion of "Big Oil"
Excerpt: If it ever was a secret, it's not a secret any longer: The Obama Administration is on a vindictive campaign to injure America's oil and gas industry. The proof materialized last week when video of an Environmental Protection Agency official revealed the White House's vicious attitude toward the very industries that supply the American people a reliable, affordable energy source. Yesterday, that official fell on his sword and resigned to spare the president any further embarrassment from the truth he disclosed.

America's Two-Faced Liberals
Excerpt: President Barack Obama and Wall Street occupiers, along with their allies in the mainstream media and on college campuses, have maintained an ongoing attack on high-income earners, people they call 1 percenters. Listening to their deceitful demagoguery, you would naturally think of them as 99 percenters, but you'd be dead wrong.

WaPo Fact Checker: Obama’s whopper about an Ohio River bridge
Excerpt: The administration could never explain what, if anything, the jobs bill would do to improve the Brent Spence Bridge, especially since construction was not slated to start until 2015 — and Obama’s jobs bill would spend most of its money in its first year. Moreover, there is a long history of bipartisan support for this project, but Obama framed it as if the Republicans were blocking its reconstruction with their opposition to his legislation. (Obama has a long history of making up stuff that supports his narrative, like saying surgeons get $50,000 to amputate a leg, when the reality is under $1000, not expecting that most folks will notice. ~Bob.)

Excerpt: But finishing a strong second isn’t an outcome worthy of an articulate, principled conservative such as Cruz. He can and should win a runoff with Dewhurst, become the Republican nominee, and be elected the next senator from the state of Texas.

RedState: The Texas Budget Compact
Excerpt: If Texas Democrats, or even Republicans for that matter, thought they’d have a quieter, gentler Rick Perry on their hands in the wake of his . . . um . . . temporary diversion into Presidential politics, they know better today. In a speech Monday in Houston, Perry laid out five fundamental conservative principles for the Texas Legislature to follow, essentially throwing down the gauntlet to any legislator — or wanna-be legislator — who thinks they’ll be able to bring a tax and spend mindset to the Texas Capitol building.

Proposal Enhances Honor Crime Scrutiny
Excerpt: Proposed language in a 2013 budget bill before Congress could direct the Justice Department to study the prevalence of honor killings and similar violence in America for the first time. The language, offered by U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., also seeks recommendations for police and social workers on how to handle such cases. It is expected to pass, writes Nina Shea. Congress passed legislation last week dealing with violence against women, but the bill contained no reference to honor crimes, which anecdotal evidence suggests is an increasing problem among Muslim Americans.

ISAF captures Taliban leader linked to Musa Qala suicide attack
Excerpt: Coalition and Afghan special operations forces have captured a Taliban leader who was involved in last month's assassination attempt against Haji Abdul "Koka" Wali, the chief of police for Musa Qala in Helmand province. Although the ISAF press release does not explicitly state it, Koka was the target of the April 10 suicide attack that is mentioned.
