From Morning Score: “The banner headline on the Drudge Report this morning is ‘Lazarus rising again?!’ under a big photo of Gingrich. It links to a blog post on Hot Air that notes Gingrich rose two points in the Gallup tracking poll. ‘Gingrich has engineered two comebacks already. Is a third out of the realm of possibility? Never say never,’ the post says.”
Famous Last Words: “Now we have (Rick) Santorum, who has a brief moment on the stage. And we just keep (going) like the tortoise in ‘The Tortoise and the Hare.’” – Newt Gingrich
THIS JUST IN: AL GORE DID NOT WIN IN 2000!
Can we please stop saying that Mitt Romney won Michigan? He didn’t…no more than Al Gore won the presidency in 2000.
For the record, according to Infoplease.com, Gore received 50,999,897 popular votes while George W. Bush received, 50,456,002. But it was Bush who was sworn in as the 43rd President of the United States in January of 2001.
