There are believed to be roughly 35,000 illegal immigrants in Rhode Island with 24,990 of them in the workforce. There are 59,200 Rhode Islanders currently unemployed. In addition to costing U.S. Citizens jobs, illegal immigrants are costing the state an estimated $278.2 million while only contributing a high-ball estimate of $11.9 million in tax revenue.

The nationwide poll conducted last month also revealed that 67 percent of Connecticut voters oppose in-state tuition aid for illegal immigrations looking to attend public universities even as a bill to do just that is making its way through the state legislature. The poll also revealed that 68 percent believe the state should be involved in immigration enforcement.
According to current available statistics, there are 120,000 illegal immigrants living in Connecticut with 85,680 them in the workforce.
