New Collapse Review on Amazon (#18)
Robert Hall, has written this comprehensive, understandable, brief but concise book that explains the dire situation America and Americans are currently facing. It is nicely chapter-ed by each issue we are facing, staying focused on that one issue until the next chapter. I really appreciated how he laid the book out as I had to stop after each subject to ponder what was said.
Chapter 6: What Will a Collapse Look Like was very informative a gives one a vision of what civil society will look like after a collapse. I don't think most people realize how quickly lawlessness appears on the scene once chaos starts.

It always amazes me how uninformed the majority of our society is to what is happening before our very eyes. So this book will be given to everyone on my Christmas list and some that are not, along with a pocket Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights.
The Coming Collapse of the American Republic should be read by every American that can read. So please fellow Americans, lets get our fellow citizens awake and aware. We got some ugly road ahead but we can and will make it through it TOGETHER. It ain't gonna be easy or pretty but we are AMERICANS home of the FREE land of the BRAVE! TEA
The Week That Was: 2011-12-03 (December 3, 2011)
Excerpt: How do religions die? Generally they don't, which probably explains why there's so little literature on the subject. Zoroastrianism, for instance, lost many of its sacred texts when Alexander sacked Persepolis in 330 B.C., and most Zoroastrians converted to Islam over 1,000years ago. Yet today old Zoroaster still counts as many as 210,000 followers, including 11,000 in the U.S. Christopher Hitchens might say you can't kill what wasn't there to begin with. (There are many good articles in this week’s TWTW. The excerpt is from Article #2, The Great Global Warming Fizzle, and another dealing with scientific ethics is linked elsewhere in today’s Digest. I also strongly recommend reading Article #5, The United States of EPA. Ron P.)
Absolute Certainty Is Not Scientific
Excerpt: I felt nostalgic for those times when even the greatest scientific minds admitted limits to what they knew. And when they recognized well that the key to the scientific method is that it is a way of knowing in which you can never completely prove that something is absolutely true. Instead, the important idea about the method is that any statement, to be scientific, must be open to disproof, and a way of knowing how to disprove it exists. Therefore, "Period, end of story" is something a scientist can say—but it isn't science. (Another solid and definitive rejection of consensus science. If you have trouble reading the full article—it’s both short and worth the time investment—it is available in full at the SEPP’s The Week That Was 3 Dec 2011, elsewhere in today’s digest (it’s Article #3). Ron P.)
Gingrich leads Romney in latest Iowa poll
Excerpt: Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich added momentum to the surge of his presidential nomination candidacy, placing well ahead of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in an Iowa poll released late Saturday by the Des Moines Register, the state’s largest-circulation daily newspaper. “If you add the first and second choices of Iowans in this poll, I get an astonishing 43 percent,” Mr. Gingrichtold The Washington Times in a phone interview an hour after the poll was made public.
Pointman — A dead man’s hand detonator on hidden emails may protect ClimateGate whistleblower
This is an important article speculating on the motives and methods of the poster of the Climategate emails (both the 1st and the 2nd. The excerpt is from Jo Nova’s—owner/editor of this Aussie climate skeptic site—description of the article. Ron P. Excerpt: Pointman analyzes the ClimateGate whistleblower’s tactics and explains why he, she or they probably released those other 200,000 emails but kept them hidden behind the 4000-8000 character almost unbreakable password. He points out there are no emails released yet between key scientists and people in power, hence the worst, most damaging emails may be kept under a ” dead man’s hand detonator”. If politicians are afraid of what might be in those released-but-hidden emails, they may not want to expose or attack the whistleblower for fear of unleashing the other emails. The hidden emails buy the whistleblower protection.

The City of Unbrotherly Torts: It's a nice place, but you wouldn't want to be sued there.
Excerpt: The tort bar's travelling circus has long searched for the most permissive legal venues, and one destination of choice is Philadelphia. The Pennsylvania legislature is now aiming to change that by limiting venue-shopping for personal injury cases.
Iran: U.S. Spy Plane Shot Down By Iran Armed Forces
Excerpt: Iran's armed forces have shot down an unmanned U.S. spy plane that violated Iranian airspace along the country's eastern border, the official IRNA news agency reported Sunday. An unidentified [Iranian] military official quoted in the report warned of a strong and crushing response to any violations of the country's airspace by American drone aircraft.
X-37B: Mission Of Mysterious Boeing Space Plane Extended (PHOTOS)
Excerpt: The X-37B space plane, a secretive shuttle-like vehicle currently orbiting the earth at 17,000 miles per hour, will be staying in space longer than originally planned, the Associated Press reports. The 29-foot solar-powered craft had an original mission of 270 days and, according to RedOrbit, the X-37B should have landed on Wednesday at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. (...) The Air Force has said that the objective of the X-37B is to test unmanned, reusable space technology and conduct orbital experiments, but many skeptics think that the vehicle's mission is somehow defense or spy-related. (Wow. The X-37B is SO secret the Associated Press was only able to provide 11 official photos of it showing it is too small to carry humans in anything like the “comfort” of the Apollo capsules or Space Shuttle. Any polar—as opposed to the much more difficult equatorial—orbit will eventually pass over every point on Earth as the Earth rotates while the orbiter revolves. The sensing equipment on board is anyone’s guess, but I hope it’s the very best we can devise. Ron P.)

(In related news, Blacks are urged to "reach out and mend fences" with the Klan. ~Bob.)
