Democrats in Washington are using words like "investments" and "revenue" to conceal the ugly truth behind the ambition of the super committee, which is to impose TAX HIKES on job creators and the middle class.
The same members of Congress who hate the Tea Party, but love the Occupiers, have said that their animosity for the "tea-baggers" arose from their unwillingness to raise taxes.
Now their push for $1.2 TRILLION in tax hikes is resonating with the six Democrat members of the super committee who can't wait to steal money out of your family's pockets and slash defense spending by more than $600 billion, and dismantle the U.S. military.
Super committee vs. the U.S. Armed Forces
On Wednesday, the House Armed Services Committee held a hearing on the super committee's plans to make cuts to defense and how gutting the military would lead to a loss of 1.5 million jobs for service members and civilians who work for the Armed Forces.

Testifying at the hearing were the heads of the four largest service branches: Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Ray Odierno; Adm. Jonathan Greenert, chief of Naval operations; Gen. Norton Schwartz, Air Force chief of staff; and Gen. James F. Amos, commandant, U.S. Marine Corps. Each discussed how gutting the military would set our nation's defenses back to the post-Vietnam era when our readiness and ability to fight was severely impacted by defense cuts.
Defense spending accounts for 20% of the federal budget, yet it is on the chopping block to receive 50% in additional cuts if members of the super committee and members of Congress fail to agree on a deficit reduction plan.
If the committee fails to meet its target of $1.2 trillion in cuts, then automatic sequestration will occur. This is a 50-50 split between defense and non-defense spending. Defense Secretary Panetta, an Obama appointee, has called sequestration a "doomsday mechanism."
Americans understand that the 12 members of the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction have the difficult task of solving the federal government's debt problems. But we also know that taxpayers are not the cause these problems, and neither is our military. These problems will never be solved as long as bureaucrats see tax hikes and defense cuts as the solution.
Forcing hard working Americans to send an addition $1 TRILLION to Washington is NOT the answer!

We saw this coming, because in August Harry Reid (D-NV) told POLITICO that he wants the super committee to generate "new tax revenue."
This is the truth! The sole purpose of the committee is to raise your taxes!
Right now, there is mounting pressure on the six Republican members of the super committee who are being blamed by Democrats and the mainstream media for the deadlock. And yesterday they received mounting pressure from 100 House members (40 Republicans) who are asking them to "go big" and find $4 trillion in cuts to the deficit.
Listen up!
If Republican members of the super committee stop fighting for you, the taxpayer, and cave into the Democrats' demands, then you will see your taxes increase. No one will be allowed to stand up on the House or Senate floor to debate the unconstitutional actions of this committee and fight for your rights, because the super committee has exclusive legislative power to raise your taxes, and no members of Congress has the authority to amend or filibuster their decisions.
Take one peek behind the curtain and you'll soon see that in conjunction with new taxes, Democrat members on the committee are also aiming to take $400 billion away from Medicare in order to give Obama an additional$300 billion in stimulus spending - this according to FOX News. (You and I know that these stimulus dollars will be used to line the pockets of Obama's cronies as a payback for campaign contributions.)
The super committee has until Nov. 23, the day before Thanksgiving, to come to an agreement, and then members of Congress have a Christmas-eve deadline to vote on the committee's final decision. If a majority from both Houses fails to agree with the committee's final decision, then our defense will automatically take a hit with an additional $600 billion in cuts. (Our military already sustained $465 billion in cuts after the debt ceiling debacle in August, and we cannot afford further cuts that will put or nation in peril.)

Rep. Hensarling, co-chair of the committee, lambasted Members who want to hike Americans taxes while the government wastes taxpayers' dollars by expanding federal agencies.
"The Environmental Protection Agency has grown 130.8%, the Energy Department has grown 178.7% with the stimulus," he said. "[And] education has grown at 180.6% at a time when the economy has actually seen negative economic growth and family paychecks have shrunk."
We cannot ignore the fact that the unconstitutional super committee has held all but four of their meetings in secret, behind closed doors and away from C-SPAN cameras that would document their plans to fast-track legislation that will raise your taxes, and cut defense spending and leave our nation defenseless against future attacks.

The Left is not only hopeful about the prospect of forcing fiscal Conservatives and budget hawks to agree to tax hikes, they are also undaunted by what might happen if the super committee deadlocks or if members of Congress reject the committee's final plan, because the automatic cuts target defense, which will be slashed by 50%.
"If the political leadership of this country decides that it must reduce the investment in defense by hundreds of billions of dollars our nation will be at risk," said Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
And, according to Peter Morici, a former chief economist at the U.S. International Trade Commission, based on recent growth "China's military spending would be 66% of U.S. levels by 2021 [in just nine years] without sequestration, and 60% with sequestration."
This means that China's defense spending will match U.S. defense spending. Thus, the U.S. military's capabilities will be diminished, which will threaten our ability to protecting our nation, defending our assets overseas, or help our allies.
