Please ask the U.S. Representatives from your state listed below:
'Why are you refusing to help move the mandatory E-Verify bill to the House floor for a vote . . .
. . . when the bill would immediately move illegal aliens out of payroll jobs, opening them up for unemployed American workers?'
Here is NumbersUSA's toll-free number to reach the Capitol Switchboard where you can ask for the office of each Congressman:
1-877-358-6424
We just need lots and lots of short messages given to the Hill staffers of the following Members of Congress.
When the staffer answers:
- Simply say that you are calling to ask the Representative to immediately co-sponsor H.R. 2885 to put unemployed workers in your state back to work.
- Then ask why the Representative is not already signed onto the bill, noting that it is important to cosponsor in order to persuade the House leadership to bring the bill to the House floor for a vote -- where it would certainly pass.
- After each name, I have provided a specific reason why that Representative ought to be signing H.R. 2885.
- If you are given specific reasons why the Representative hasn't signed yet, please give to our lobbyists to use on the Hill by writing it at this link: www.numbersusa.com/content/my/account/contactus
Rep. Joseph Heck (R-03) (b) Earlier this year cosponsored Rep. Carter's similar E-Verify bill (H.R. 800). Should do the same as Carter who is now cosponsoring H.R. 2885.
Rep. Mark Amodei (R-02) (h) Committed to changing the status quo when running for first election a year ago but not yet committed to stopping the long status quo of hiring millions of illegal aliens.
REPRESENTATIVES STILL COMMITTED TO ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-01) (n) Democrats who thus far have shown no commitment to traditional Democrat loyalty to American workers and usually side with companies that prefer foreign workers, including illegal aliens.
