The UNLV College Republicans have been reborn in 2011, and are bigger and stronger than ever!
This semester, we have highlighted the lack of integrity, high salary, and low work-load of returning Professor Dina Titus, and publicly opposed her UNLV-sponsored radio show by making 36,000 calls to voters in Southern Nevada.
We have called out UNLV President Neal Smatresk, demanding that he do his job to implement budget cuts in a way that cuts waste, not education, and is accountable to students and taxpayers alike.
We have held UNLV’s student government accountable, forcing them to cancel a $242,000 concert and leading the effort to successfully remove the student body president from office.
We also began the semester by turning down university funding, in the spirit of ‘shared sacrifice.’
The UNLV College Republicans were an integral part of forming the College Republican Federation of Nevada this past March, giving them national credentials for the first time since 2005, and allowing them to send delegates to the College Republican National Committee Convention this July.
In order to attend this convention, we are asking for your help.
The airfare and shared hotel expenses for three delegates to attend the 2-day convention are estimated to be roughly $3,000, far out of the price range for students, or a student organization.
The UNLV College Republicans would be eternally grateful if you could help us represent Nevada at our national convention, by making a donation to help us reach our goal.
Thank you!
