Nevada Campus Protection Act to be Voted on Tomorrow
Please contact the Senate Government Affairs Committee!
The Senate Government Affairs Committee will hold a work session and vote TOMORROW on Senate Bill 231, the Nevada Campus Protection Act. SB 231, introduced by Senator John Lee (D-01), would allow individuals who hold permits to carry concealed weapons (CCW) to carry their firearms on the property of the Nevada System of Higher Education without first gaining permission from the University President, which is currently mandated by statute. It has been a long-held policy within the campus administration to not allow permit holders to carry, which has created an environment where students, faculty and staff are left defenseless in gun-free zones.
Please show your support for this important right-to-carry issue by contacting members of the Senate Government Affairs Committee TODAY and urge them to vote for SB 231.
