House Trims Border Security Budget, Despite Calls for More Resources | |
Liberals in Washington have had a bus past week accusing some conservatives with a of hypocrisy because of budget cuts affecting border security despite their history of concerted effort to secure the U.S.-Mexico border. The House voted to slash spending by roughly $600 million for border security and immigration enforcement for the remainder of this year claiming that the current funding levels are not sustainable given the current economy and national debt.
