Ever wondered what Left wing public employee unions think about our effort to rein in federal spending, including their huge pensions?
Click here to view a video we took just this week on Capitol Hill where the President of the American Federation of Government Employees Union and his members were protesting against spending cuts.
This public employee union boss, who is paid with your tax dollars, actually called folks like you and me “mentally retarded” for working to cut spending.
Again, this isn't some nameless, faceless guy -- Gage is the President of the American Federation of Government Employees Union and he's calling fellow citizens "mentally retarded" for wanting to cut federal spending which by the way is expected to run a record $1.5 trillion deficit this coming fiscal year. We shared our video with FOX News and they ran it multiple times.
About these federal employees...did you know the average federal employee makes just over $123,000 per year. When you add in their massive pension and health benefits the USA Today reported that a federal worker makes on average more than 2 times what a worker in the private sector makes for comparable work. Since 2008 approximately 8,000,000 jobs have been lost in the private sector yet government has ADDED an estimated 500,000 jobs.
Yet, their federal employee union boss organizes protests against Americans who want to cut spending (I wonder if we were paying for their time off to attend the rally against us...) and then uses language that's insensitive to many Americans dealing with mental disabilities. How outrageous.
Well, it's good for us to know what we're up against as we work to stop the bankrupting of our nation by cutting wasteful government spending that destroys jobs and crushes opportunity in our great nation.
But, we can send taxpayer funded union boss John Gage a message.
We've got a challenging road ahead but if you doubt our ability to win just look over your shoulder at what we've accomplished together!

PS: Worse attacks are going to come as we move to cut wasteful government spending but we've seen it before. Remember then Speaker Nancy Pelosi calling us "un-American" and Harry Reid calling us "evil-mongers"? The American people rejected these attacks. They'll reject the ones like union boss Gage is throwing.
