REMIND CONGRESS - 'YOU WORK FOR US! OBEY YOUR OATH AND OBEY U.S. CONSTITUTION

Fellow Concerned American:
Last night, the House Rules Committee blocked Rep. Steve King (R-IA) from offering an amendment blocking ALL funding of ObamaCare to the Continuing Resolution that will fund the government through the end of the year. They blocked the amendment because it would violate a House rule that prohibits legislating in an appropriations bill.
Rep. King was simply following the will of the American People and his and similar efforts to go for full defunding need our support to ensure success.
The full and complete defunding of ObamaCare is critical.
The House GOP Leadership has pledged to stop ObamaCare, but they are about to  miss a prime opportunity to block funding to the most egregious infringement of our personal liberty and tax dollars.
We need your help to keep reminding the House Leadership to fulfill their promise to the American people. Will you consider making a contribution today so that help make sure the House Leadership makes a priority of defunding Obamacare?
Last month, House Republicans demonstrated their integrity by keeping their promise to begin repeal of ObamaCare, and we applaud them for it. But it stalled in the U. S. Senate and we need to find any possible way to railroad the implementation of Obamcare. We've already seen the courts rule Obamacare unconstitutional, but the White House will get its way if we don't defund it now.
The votes in the House (successful) and the Senate (unsuccessful) were just the beginning of the fight to undo the bureaucratic leviathan signed into law last March and bring choice and control to Americas' health care decisions. Defunding Obamacare is the first step towards repeal.
H.R.2 - the measure to completely repeal ObamaCare was passed by The House of Representatives in January, but the U.S. Senate refuses to hold a straight up or down vote. Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer and their cronies played their Washington games by attaching it as an amendment to a FAA Re-Authorization bill and it never had a chance when they got their hands on it.
As we've learned from our various battles in Washington, it's important to keep reminding leadership in both the House and Senate how the people feel about this critical issue. We cannot permit House Republicans, who used Repeal of Obamacare as a campaign issue, to make one good faith effort and think that's all they need to do.
The American people want Repeal and they demand THEIR Representatives fight for Repeal.
We won't let House Republicans give up so easily and we need to make every Senator, of both parities, put their vote on the record during a straight up or down, roll call vote so back home they'll know they have to account for their vote.
Our lawmakers need to be held accountable.
At the Independent Women's Voice, we developed the ObamaCare Repeal Pledge to clearly identify which candidates and lawmakers were dedicated to doing more than just offer words. The Repeal Pledge lets voters know which Senators and Congressmen are committed to taking all necessary action to defund, deauthorize and repeal the bill, and then tracks how they vote.
We are pleased to report that all 41 House members who signed the Repeal Pledge voted for HR2 in January.
While the media has, unfortunately, chosen to focus its attention elsewhere, let us not forget the real mission here - to empower Americans with choice and control in their health care decisions. Health care decisions should be made between doctors and patients, without the intrusion of government bureaucrats.
The 2010 midterm elections were a referendum on President Obama and his ramming through of the flawed healthcare bill. Let's help those newly elected Senators do what they were voted in for – and reminder the others that we're ready for the fight.
Thank you,
Heather Higgins

P.S. The fight to repeal ObamaCare is just beginning. And we need your help if we are to be victorious in the long run while we hold our elected officials' feet to the fire. Take action now so we can undo this government take over of your health care.
