Tax Plan that’s Better than Cain’s, Perry’s or Gingrich’s
Bold tax reform is front and center this campaign season. First Herman Cain made waves and poll headway with his 9-9-9 tax plan, which involves national 9-percent taxes on personal and corporate income and a 9-percent national sales tax. Now Rick Perry has followed suit with a 20-percent flat-tax plan, and Newt Gingrich has gone 5 better, with a 15-percent flat proposal. And these ideas certainly haven’t fallen flat: tax reform is immensely popular among the Republican base......

Beware of Greeks bearing referendums. They might just be inclined to vote for liberty, for sanity, for social harmony. A fence along the U.S. and Mexican border is a linchpin of border defense, but the fact is a fence alone cannot protect us from the horde of illegal aliens invading our country on a daily basis.Remember the children's song about overcoming obstacles – "Can't go through it, can't go around it, gotta go OVER it?" That is exactly what illegal intruders and the drug cartels are doing on a daily basis. As the open border politicians love to quip, "all an unmanned 14 foot fence will do is cause a spike in the sales of 15 foot ladders."
DOJ CONTINUES TO SUE ANY STATE SEEKING TO UPHOLD U.S. CONSTITUTION
DOJ SUES SOUTH CAROLINA OVER IMMIGRATION LAW
Justice Department officials are suing South Carolina over the state’s new legislation aimed at cracking down on illegal immigration saying that the measure pre-empts federal authority and could lead to the harassment and detention of authorized visitors, immigrants and citizens. DOJ officials also claim that it would interfere with and undermine the federal government’s control over relations with foreign governments because of the component requiring the carrying of documents to prove residency. South Carolina argues that they are trying to uphold the rule of law because the feds have failed to do so.
