HIGH TAXES KILL CITIES - THAT IS THE LIBERAL DREAM!

Progressives and Their Taxes Kill Cities

High taxes are bad for cities. Low taxes encourage growth. In fact, between 1980 and 2007, compared to the ten most-taxed metropolitan areas, America’s ten least-taxed metropolitan areas experienced three times faster population growth, 2.7 times faster employment growth, and twice as great an increase in personal income. In the latest Cato Journal, economist Dean Stansel observes: If high-tax, low-growth metro areas like Detroit, Milwaukee, Buffalo, and Syracuse want to be more like high-growth areas such as Dallas, Tampa, San Antonio, and Austin, they should lower their onerous burden of taxation and bring spending under control. Yet does any objective observer of today’s ruling-class elitists think that ...Read More

THE LEFT WOULD DISBAND THE MILITARY TO CONTINUE SPENDING

Budget: Wisely appropriate our defense programs, not abandon them

According to the Washington Times: “The political left is pressing the White House and Congress to inflict a wave of Pentagon budget cuts not seen since the post-Cold War in the 1990’s.” And they are using the national debt crisis to say that now is the time! On the Left, many have called for $1 TRILLION in cuts. U.S. Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA), has led the charge in the House for this enormous cut. The Center for America Progress, run by John Podesta, wants that much in reductions over the next THREE years and $1 Trillion from what has been projected increases over the next decade; to include several weapons terminations and troop cutbacks. Obviously, there is waste, fraud, political purchases, and corruption in Pentagon procurement — and those we wish not defend with tax dollars.Read More

McConnell: Without Tea Party there would be no spending cuts

McConnell: Without Tea Party there would be no spending cuts
By Daniel Strauss
August 1, 2011

Without Tea Party Republicans, Congress wouldn't be cutting any federal spending, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said.

"What I would say to our friends in the Tea Party movement — without them we wouldn't be having this discussion. We wouldn't be cutting anything," McConnell said Monday to Neil Cavuto on Fox News. "But for the last election, we wouldn't be having this discussion."

LIBERALS LAY BLAME ON REPUBLICANS FOR RUNAWAY SPENDING BY OBAMA - DISGUSTING!

Dear Conservatives
,
In a just-released Media Reality Check from the Media Research Center, the so-called "journalists" of our country’s newsrooms are exposed for the narrow-minded liberals that they are.  Too focused on their plan to blame all economic problems on conservatives, the media are happy to hide the consequences of the mountain of debt that their liberal friends have piled upon our children and grandchildren.
CBS’s Bob Schieffer is so oblivious that he questioned whether conservative lawmakers “understand just how serious this debt limit crisis is?” Conservatives are right to question if Schieffer understands how serious the DEBT is.  Rather than belittling conservatives desperately fighting to balance the budget, it would help if he could honestly report the devastating impact that out-of-control spending is having on our economy.
MSNBC’s Chris Matthews was not to be outdone by Bob Schieffer. He compared budget-conscious Tea-partiers to Islamic fundamentalists trying to bring down our country, General Custer attacking the U.S. on a suicide mission, and the white supremacist apartheid government in South Africa.

The Fed Audit

July 21, 2011
The first top-to-bottom audit of the Federal Reserve uncovered eye-popping new details about how the U.S. provided a whopping $16 trillion in secret loans to bail out American and foreign banks and businesses during the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. An amendment by Sen. Bernie Sanders to the Wall Street reform law passed one year ago this week directed the Government Accountability Office to conduct the study.

IF TEA PARTY IS TERRORISTS THEN THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS ARE TERRORISTS!

Submitted by: Kurt J Fitsch

Biden may be the ONLY CLOWN that does not draw a laugh!

This polit-clown seems to forget that the tea party Republicans just have done what their voters expected them to do! And that's how it should be! That shows what folks like Biden think about voters.....
BIDEN CALLS TEA PARTY TERRORISTS

By JONATHAN ALLEN & JOHN BRESNAHAN | 8/1/11 4:07 PM EDT Vice President Joe Biden joined House Democrats in lashing tea party Republicans Monday, accusing them of having “acted like terrorists” in the fight over raising the nation’s debt limit.

Biden was agreeing with a line of argument made by Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) at a two-hour, closed-door Democratic Caucus meeting.

POLITICAL DIGEST 08/02/2011 CONSERVATIVE

Long Digest today, with a lot of interesting pieces, as I was off-line for two days. Some may be dated, but still I think of interest. ~Bob.

Must read: A Post-American Planet: Decline starts with the money, but it doesn’t stop there. By Mark Steyn.
Excerpt: That thoughtful observer of the passing parade, Nancy Pelosi, weighed in on the “debt ceiling” negotiations the other day: “What we’re trying to do is save the world from the Republican budget. We’re trying to save life on this planet as we know it today.” It’s always good to have things explained in terms we simpletons can understand. After a while, all the stuff about debt-to-GDP ratio and CBO alternative baseline scenarios starts to give you a bit of a headache, so we should be grateful to the House minority leader for putting it in layman’s terms: What’s at stake is “life on this planet as we know it today.” So, if right now you’re living anywhere in the general vicinity of this planet, it’s good to know Nancy’s in there pitching for you. (Steyn is one of the few on even the conservative side who truly gets it. His security is tight. I’d love to put a copy of Collapse on his desk, but can’t get an address. He lives, I believe, in NH. If anyone has suggestions, let me know. ~Bob.)

RATHER THEN UPHOLDING EXISTING LAWS DOJ SUES ANOTHER STATE ON IMMIGRATION ISSUE

Justice Department Sues Alabama Over Controversial Immigration Law

Published August 01, 2011
| FoxNews.com

The Justice Department has filed a lawsuit against Alabama's new controversial immigration law, essentially fighting Alabama on grounds similar to its legal battle with Arizona over that state's controversial law.
In both cases, the Justice Department argues that the states are overstepping their authority by wading into something that is a strictly federal responsibility: immigration enforcement.
