Republican Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) asked attendees at a conference on Friday to pray for Barack Obama and quoted this passage from the Bible: “Let his days be few, and let another have his office.”
Everyone on the planet with an IQ above room temperature
knew Perdue was talking about the upcoming election and Obama’s final days in,
duh, elected office. But the PC Speech Police
had a cow anyway.
Kristen Orthman,
spokes-babe for Sen. Harry Reid,
said Perdue’s comments “left the impression he was praying for the death of
President Obama.”
No he wasn’t. You’d
have to be a complete and total idiot to think that.
