Now, Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie is attesting to the existence of the real "birth record" (long-form birth certificate?), and he is "searching" for it but conveniently can't find it. So what’s the hold-up? Help us DEMAND the PROOF! In fact, no one has been able to produce certified or definitive vital records to finally end the controversy surrounding President Obama’s questionable citizenship status. Obama's 3 AM Moment

One of the issues raised in the run-up to our last presidential election was the question "Which candidate is best qualified to handle a '3 AM moment'?"  America now has a partial answer: not President Obama.

Last Friday was Day 4 of the ongoing protests in Egypt, where tens of thousands Egyptians took to the streets to demand the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak.  As the situation reached a flash point, with a mounting death toll and Egyptian tanks in the streets of Cairo, President Obama maintained his silence.  Well, not quite.  He did Twitter, by proxy.

Around noon Friday, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs issued a 22-word statement on Twitter: "Very concerned about violence in Egypt - government must respect the rights of the Egyptian people & turn on social networking and internet."  The White House also informed the media that Obama had received a forty-minute briefing on the situation.  Phew!

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) - A Detroit-area district says Sikh students are permitted to wear a small, religious dagger to school.

The decision by the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools reverses a ban put in place in December after a fourth-grader at a Canton Township elementary school was found with a dull, 3- to 5-inch kirpan.

FOX 2's Robin Schwartz reports the kirpan represents a commitment to fight evil . After males are baptized, members of the faith, which originated in South Asia in the 15th century, are expected to carry the symbol all the time.

The principal initially let the boy keep the kirpan, but the school board instituted a ban because of parental concerns and conflicts with the district's rules against bringing weapons to school.

Comment by LSGIII:  While it is great that a religious symbol that represents a commitment to fight evil, it is amazing that an Eagle Scout cannot have a multi-facet Swiss Army Knife.  The double standard by the leftist school boards is appalling.  I don't want my child un-armed while others are walking around with 3-5 inch daggers.
