The House and Senate have both adjourned until after the election, so I thought it was a good time to update you on the issues American Commitment has been actively working on.

- House stands up to War on Coal. The House voted Friday 233 to 175 to stop Obama’s War on Coal. There were 214 Republicans joined by 13 Democrats who voted to stand up for coal and affordable electricity. There were 162 Democrats and 19 Republicans who voted no. American Commitment activists like you have now sent over 100,000 letters and emails to Congress urging an end to the War on Coal. For next several weeks, we will focus heavily on holding accountable legislators who betrayed their states by supporting Obama's War on Coal. We would greatly appreciate any financial contribution you can make to this effort, which could have a huge impact in coal states like Ohio and Virginia.
