ROBET HALL'S RANDOM THOUGHTS FOR JULY 2013

Random Thoughts for July, 2013
Robert A. Hall

I read that 100 religious people will have something like 40 more kids than 100 secular people. There’s a hopeful statistic.

One thing about the Muslims slaughtering the British soldier in London that went unnoticed was on the video, one of the killers says something like, “In our land (meaning Nigeria), things like this happen every day.” He was born in Britain, was a British citizen, but clearly didn’t think of himself as such. Immigrants that don’t wish to assimilate are a danger to every society.

If your education ended when you graduated, you are uneducated.

If this was a just world, they would discover tomorrow that Viagra cures pulmonary fibrosis.

Too many drivers think that a Stop Sign is just a suggestion.

My Uncle Frank had a sarcastic streak and a quick wit. Probably his best one was when he was teaching TV repair at Philadelphia Wireless. A student was carrying in a mirror, used to see the screen while the tech worked on the back of the TV. A friend yelled, “Don’t drop that mirror, George, you’ll have seven years bad luck.” “Yes,” Uncle Frank snapped, “and I’ll crowd it all into the next five minutes!”

BOB HALL'S RANDOM THOUGHTS May 2013

Random Thoughts for May, 2013
Robert A. Hall

The Boston Marathon Bombings are pretty much an average day in Israel. And a below average day in Iraq, where Muslims slaughter Muslims daily in the name of Allah.

We are now told that the Boston Marathon Bombers were “alienated.” Didn’t you know that the Left would make it society’s fault? No personal responsibility for anything. Except, of course, George Bush for everything bad that’s happened under Obama.

This year is the 10th birthday of the Income Tax. I hope you did something nice for it to celebrate.

Because a group puts “conservative” or “progressive” in it’s name and asks you for money does not mean they are doing much for the things you support. Let the donor beware.

Importing guns: Bad. Importing magazines: Bad. Importing ammo: Bad. Importing terrorists: Good multiculturalism.

Since they didn’t initially read Miranda Rights to the second Boston Bomber, I hope he doesn’t join Obama pal Bill Ayers as a terrorist who go away with it.

BOB HALL'S RANDOM THOUGHTS FOR APRIL 2013

Random Thoughts for April, 2013
Robert A. Hall

The verdict is in. March sucked.

I’m looking for a bumper sticker that says: “Save Medicare—Repeal ObamaCare!”

I was surprised that Jesse Jackson didn’t condemn the “White Smoke-Black Smoke” Pope signals as racist. And I can’t figure out why every day until the Pope was picked the media reported “Black Smoke,” that is, “No News,” as “Breaking News.” And if they catch the new Pope praying, will the media charge him with being divisive, like Tebow? Or call him a “White Hispanic”?

If you are taken prisoner by militant members of The Religion of Peace, and they only kill you, you got off easy.

Yes, I know that British English makes more sense in this case, but in American English, periods and commas always go inside the quotation marks. (Except in some very limited technical writing, I understand.)

I support a strong Green agenda for the country. That is, stimulating the economy by putting more “green” in the pockets of American workers and consumers by reducing government size, government waste, government regulations and government spending, especially on Green Crony Capitalism.

RANDOM THOUGHTS OF A CONSERVATIVE, February 2012

Random Thoughts for February, 2012
Robert A. Hall

I left this offering to post on the blog while I’m traveling, but thought I’d share it with my mailing lists early, to enjoy or delete at your leisure.

If you e-mail me a link to something and don’t have time to tell me anything about it, that’s okay, as long as you understand that I don’t have time to look at it.

You better get used to the idea that these are “The Good Old Days” your kids will be looking back on.

If you will remember to put group e-mail addresses in the BBC block, and to delete all e-mail addresses from those e-mails you forward, you will deny them to spammers and fraudsters.
