  • Facing a potential strike from rail companies and their unionized workers, Senator Rubio released a statement and video explaining why he wouldn’t vote for a deal that didn’t directly benefit the railway workers. His statement received widespread praise for supporting the railway workers. 

  • Following the Senate’s vote to impose a deal, Senator Rubio reiterated his support for the workers and called out the Biden Administration for abandoning the railway workers.

Letters

  • Senator Rubio, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), and their colleagues sent a letter to Senate Republican leadership demanding that the Senate vote to repeal the COVID-19 vaccine requirement for members of our armed forces.

  • Senator Rubio joined his Republican colleagues in a letter to the White House calling for a reinstatement of a government-wide moratorium on gain-of-function research. 

  • Senator Rubio sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo calling for the implementation of sanctions against Chinese technology company Tiandy.
