Dear Friend, Last weekend, the Senate approved the Democrats’ latest tax-and-spend package. Don’t be fooled by the name. The “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022” does nothing to reduce inflation. In fact, it will cost the U.S. over $700 billion. The package does the following: - Raise taxes on businesses, driving up costs for consumers and exacerbating the current supply chain crisis
- Allow the IRS to hire 87,000 new agents to target American families and businesses
- Implement socialist price control schemes for prescription drugs that will negatively impact seniors, patients, those with rare diseases, and their families
- Extend Obamacare subsidies through 2025, benefiting the wealthy and subsidizing people who already have insurance
- Spend $369 billion on “Green New Deal” initiatives
The Biden Administration and Democrats say this package only taxes the wealthy and helps the American people; however, this package is filled with more of their failed policies that will make inflation worse. As we’ve seen in the past few months, inflation is a tax on hardworking Americans.
