FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 6, 2022 Contact: Haylee Austin Phone: 352-291-4436 Ocala, Fla. – Today, Representative Joe Harding announced that he will partner with the College of Central Florida and Farm Share to host a food distribution event. The distribution will take place Saturday, April 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the College of Central Florida Ocala Campus. The college is located at 3001 SW College Rd, Ocala, FL 34474. The food will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To access the college, the main entrance is located off College Road (State Road 200). Vehicles should travel to the back of campus to pick up food items and exit onto SW 20th St. The distribution will be held in a drive-thru format for social distancing purposes. “There are so many Florida families in desperate need of fresh, nutritious foods,” said Representative Joe Harding. “I look forward to serving the community by partnering with Farm Share and the College of Central Florida to host this event." Founded in 1991, Farm Share is a non-profit food bank that supplies over 23 million Florida households with fresh fruits and vegetables. The organization partners with more than 3,000 food pantries, churches, schools and other nonprofits throughout the state to distribute food to those in need. |
