Abortions Temporarily Resume in Kentucky after Judge Blocks Enforcement of Pro-Life Law

Frankfort, KY – Judge Rebecca Grady Jennings issued a Temporary Restraining Order late yesterday that has blocked enforcement of Kentucky’s multi-faceted HB 3, which, among other provisions, prohibits abortions after 15 weeks gestation. Kentucky’s two abortion facilities, the Louisville Planned Parenthood and EMW Women’s Surgery Center, to resume abortions as of today, Friday, April 22, 2022. Both abortion facilities halted abortions when the new law went into effect on April 14, 2022. The new TRO is only good for a maximum of 14 days. ICYMI: Three Women in a Week Suffer Life-Threatening Botched Abortions at Crime-Plagued Michigan Abortion Mill Eastpoint, MI – The Eastland Women’s Clinic, located in Eastpointe, Michigan, called 911 three times within a week for women who were bleeding uncontrollably after abortions. Two of the emergencies happened on the same day just over five hours apart, and at least one involved a second trimester abortion procedure that carries higher risks than first trimester abortions.
