As part of a community of Torah followers, we also read this teaching last Saturday, which is the weekly Shabbat or Sabbath according to Scripture. This includes supportive scripture by the Prophets and other writings, to include the “gospels” and instructions by Rav Shaul (Apostle Paul). However, that isn’t to say we prescribe to Judaism or any other religion, including Christianity. We do not, as unfortunately Judaism is too influenced by Talmudic teachings that cloud, distort, add to, and twist (confuse) the instructions given to Moses for ALL MANKIND. (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
On the flip-side of that coin is Christianity, which does the opposite. It falsely applies dispensationalism to do away or rid itself of “the law” and instructions for life – at best using the Torah as a menu to choose what it will or will not follow. Our Messiah did not come (Matthew 5:17) to rid us of the “perfect doctrine” He gave Moses. (Psalms 19:7-9 and Proverbs 4:2) Because if you turn your ear away from hearing Torah, even your prayer is an abomination. (Proverbs 28:9)
The reason I say this weather event last week in Egypt is not surprising is because “interesting” events usually occur right around, or leading up to, ANY of the seven biblically-mandated Feasts (Leviticus 23, entire chapter dedicated to these appointed times) which are part of the EVERLASTING COVENANTS established by The Father with ALL MANKIND. And these events are increasing in intensity over the last several years – our Creator is getting our attention...warning us with these judgments and yet few are “hearing.” We actually talk about this all the time, though the casual observer dismisses it for climate change or some other fantastical explanation.
Sometimes these events are associated with malicious action (treaty, sponsor, etc.) by other countries against Israel. Israel may have a corrupt government with perverseness and other abominations / contaminations around the land among the people – just like America. Yet never forget that Israel has The Father’s Mighty Name written on the landscape and Jerusalem is His Capitol, where The Word will go forth when He Returns. No one and no sovereign messes with His Land. Period.
Pesach or Passover is the next Feast – which always begins His covenantal calendar (Exodus 12) or “new year” in “Aviv” or Spring. It is obviously different from the Roman-Greco calendar the world follows, which just began on January 1.
Thanks Rebbe…
