Dear Friend, Santa’s helpers throughout Florida-02 have gone above and beyond to make sure every child has a merry Christmas. I cannot thank you all enough for the work you’ve put into giving back. Christmas came early for 95 Riley Elementary School kindergarteners. It began with the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce initiative, Classroom Connection in which local businesses support classrooms in Leon County. The Moore Agency adopted Tameshia Griffin's class at the beginning of the school year. The students' faces lit up when they saw their friends Friday morning carrying an individually wrapped gift for each one of them. Read more here. |
With people still dealing with flooding across Dixie County, more than 600 toys were packed into two vans and were given to kids so they have something to play with this holiday season. Hundreds of residents came out to the first Christmas in Dixie Expo. Mandy Lemmermen with emergency services said his event was designed to give families some hope throughout the holidays. No child in Bay County is being left behind this holiday season as Panama City Police Department partnered with Northwest Florida Health Network and Twin Oaks to give foster children a Merry Christmas. Last weekend, foster parents and kids gathered for a jolly time with Santa Claus for the Second Annual Blue Santa for Children. Lt.
