On Thursday, I released a statement after the Biden Administration announced changes to Trump-era rules that banned U.S. investment in certain companies linked to the Chinese Communist Party’s military. The change would also put the U.S. Department of Treasury in charge of creating and maintaining a list of companies that could face financial penalties. Read more here. Legislation Introduced- Last Thursday, Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and I introduced the Veterans Education Empowerment Act, a bipartisan, bicameral bill to support student veterans by creating, maintaining, and operating Student Veteran Centers at universities and colleges across the nation.
